i was thinking about that thing alfie allen mentioned comparing Jon to luke skywalker, and apart from thinking that rhaegar was the prince that was promised/anakin being the chosen one, i came back to dany being his twin as well. might be a little too on the nose for grrm, but i could see it nonetheless.

That rumor I linked you to about the Night's King was slightly misworded. Per this Reddit thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/2op199/spoilers_allser_robert_strong_and_the_others/

The Night's King will be raising the dead at Hardhome as wights. This was allegedly stated by an extra playing a wight. Makes me wonder if Episode 9/10 will end with separate shots of the Night's King raising wights, then Ramsay leading flayed men toward the Wall, then "for the Watch."

GOD DAMN. that sounds epic. though, if that ends up in twow and tormund stil leads that ranging party, he's likely going to die. :csad:

Prrrfft, as if Ramsay can get to the North! Stannis will defeat him.

If the Night's King can raise any dead body (that isn't too decayed) think of all the dead bodies currently in Westeros due to the War of the Five Kings. If the Night's King crosses the Wall then the Kingdoms have essentially given him thousands of soldiers.

On the flip side, I wonder if the collective Red Priesthood could do something similar.

or what if the Night's king is a Stark, and he comes to Winterfell to raise the kings of winter, and that's the reason why there must always be Stark in winterfell? to stave off the long night part deux?

I like this theory. Since we've seen a wight at the wall in Jeor's quarters, I wonder if the Wall isn't actually a massive sink of whatever magic creates the wights. So in breaking down the Wall, you'd have waves of the stuff washing over Westeros.

Day 12 = December 21

December 21= First day of winter

Time for hype?

Coldhands vs The Iron Captain. Get Hype!

Well, on a less jokey note, am I alone in thinking we could see Stoneheart and Dany interacting? Both characters are bound by the theme of motherhood and revenge. I can't help but wonder if Stoneheart will fill a Bloodraven esque role for Dany in terms of reconciling the Dragon with the Mother.

Stoneheart seems to be pretty Pet Semetary-like, so I'm not sure that she's going to mentor anyone really. Though maybe we'll see some nice karmic balance and she'll hang Littlefinger from one the gates of Riverrun.

Knowing GRRM it's just another chapter from the book.

it doesn't have anything to do with twow but maybe it's the season 5 trailer. we've gotten a teaser already...

well a new 'The Sight' video just got released, but the site crashed and is mobile only.

From WotW:

Sansa staring straight ahead at the camera. The image was a bit distorted, like the effect that movies and TV sometimes use to dramatize someone waking up from a dream. Couldn’t tell if it was part of the shot or an intentional effect, but the footage looked like it might be new.
-A shot of Tyrion (no beard) sitting in the dark, looking sullen. I’m pretty sure that this was old footage from when Oberyn visits him in “Mockingbird”.
-A face carved into a Weirwood tree. Probably old footage – it looked similar to the one at which Bran had the vision in Season 4. However, even if it is new, there would be nothing to identify it as such since the face on the tree occupied the entire shot.
-A raven cawing. Possibly old footage. Didn’t notice if it had three eyes or not.
-The Braavosi captain and Arya in rowboat, moving left to right across the screen. Some gray stones like those we saw from the filming reports of Kastel Gomilica behind them. Definitely new footage!
-A hand (it looked like it belong to a woman or a girl) trailing over a dark pool of water. Definitely new.
-Cersei, peering out from behind a ornate grate. It looked like she might be in a litter. Definitely new footage!
-The white book being closed. Possibly old footage, although I don’t remember the exact angle of the shot from the show.

You can only view the footage once.

I was reading Westeros this morning, and came across some stuff about Bowen's role. Apparently his actor is only appearing early to mid way through the season. I think episode 5 or 6 is his last episode.

i think i caught that in the link you posted days a go too, i glanced over it but, could "it" be happening so soon?

mylod, slovis and podeswa are the three directors he's working with and they're directing the first 6 episodes.

DnD like to take the book shockers to the next level. I could see them having that boy be the one that drives in the first blade. He did see his parents butchered by wildlings, and now he's seeing this guy who looked out for him letting more wildlings through the Wall.

On the other hand, if the stabbing were saved for the end of the season, it would need to be done in episode nine for maximum shock value. Then in episode ten, we'd learn about what happens to Jon in the aftermath. Saving the stabbing for episode ten, and then getting pics of Kit on set filming season six, it might lessen the impact.

i like that idea about the boy being a part of the "ides of Marsh"

I'm thinking the election happens early in the season, probably the first episode, "the ides" occurs in the 6th and the aftermath occurs in the 10th episode.

ah. apprently that was an interview with a psychic. I was already getting amped to see lsh give jon the kiss of life.
