From what I'm reading elsewhere it was her head CGI'd on a double.

I guess Lena was feeling self conscious. Can't say I blame her. That walk was long as **** and involved a lot of extras and fluids...and more wagging penises than any single scene ever needed.

It's about time they showed some penises, though of course they belonged to the dirty poor people that no one cares about.

Putting my rage at those treacherous crow bastards aside for a moment, I think we can safely say that any lingering hope for Stoneheart is truly gone....not that there was much left. :oldrazz:

Damn.

Where do I start?

I'm ****ing sad about Jon Snow but I already knew that was coming. I'm just hoping the change of eye color means something and that along with Melisandre arriving isn't some stupid red herring.

I'm really hoping Jon Snow stays in the show one way or another (my least favorite possibility being that he's now Ghost).

Jesus... his eyes DO change color...

Her point about the season rushing through plotlines and being a lot of big moments isn't off the mark at all, but she goes on to say:

If Daenerys wasn’t lost among the Dothraki, apparently aiming to make it to Westeros in the umpteenth season of this show, we really might be getting somewhere—or at least to a sixth season trim enough to deliver thematic and dramatic tension in the quieter moments as well as the thrilling set pieces

I hate to see this show if they trim anymore and compress any more. AFFC and ADWD were trimmed to death. Not that two seasons for AFFC and ADWD would have been any better.

I wonder if she has read the books? Some of the problems she had were from the books or at the very least no worse than some of the problems with in books 4&5. I like AFFC and ADWD but it's not the best source material for a good season or two of television. So this season was ****ed in that regard from the beginning.

They do. Jon Snow has really dark brown eyes (they look almost black even in HD) but during his death scene they quite clearly turn into a very distinct light hazel as his pupils dilate.

I can't believe some of y'all are still in denial about Stannis. Stannis from the very beginning was a man who used blood magic to murder his brother. He was never an honorable man. He was just a man who had his own morality based on his skewed idea of duty and right and wrong. Balanced good men don't do the things Stannis has done for the past 3 seasons. It's time to wake up and face the facts. Stannis wasn't a saint. And doing his duty and riding to the Wall to stop Mance and being too stubborn to let anyone tell him he couldn't stop his daughter's greyscale didnt make him one. I agree he isn't likeable, but I don't think book Stannis is likeable either. He burns people alive and cuts off the fingers of men who save his life.

I agree completely. The way some people have been talking about Stannis around here, you would think he was Ned in the books.

Book Stannis still used blood magic to murder his brother. Book Stannis was still seriously considering (and probably would have) murdered an innocent child to advance his war. And from what D&D have said, book Stannis may very well end up doing exactly what show Stannis did to his daughter.

Now, in terms of the whole season...yeah, it was rough. The Jamie/Dorne stuff was essentially pointless. We could have not included it at all and it wouldn't have effected the entire season. The Sansa/Ramsay stuff also read as cheap shock value (at this point). I was also annoyed they didn't show us Jon warging into ghost at the end of this season, because that would have at least given us something to end the season on an interesting note. Essentially, only the Tyrion and Ayra stuff I found consistently interesting. They definitely had some missteps this season, and I may even say this could be the weakest season overall...but at the same time, they're also dealing with what was GRRM's weakest material as well...so I'm giving them a bit of a pass.

Still, it wasn't a great season overall, by GOT standards that is.

I can't see any difference in the color on my tv. It's an LED that's been calibrated.

They stay the same color, but his eyes are easier to see as the camera zooms in because the camera was adjusting and focusing more as the depth of field was reduced. It also looks like they may have brightened the whole shot as the shot was zooming in.

his eyes definitely go from dark to a pale whitish blue hazel yea... its weirdly colored but they DEFINITELY change.

GUYS....

I think I saw a smart-ass in Jon Snows *******. :lmao:

You know what...that could have been it Marvolo. I hope you're wrong though. :(

I just want Jon Snow to be alive! :waa:

Melisandre do all Snow fans a solid and bring him back! That way poor little Shireen's sacrifice wouldn't have been in vain.

but jons eyes have never been that color before lol

I'm with you...til the end of the line.

That's what I'm saying. Kit has some really dark ass eyes and the color I saw in that last scene were a really light hazel/gray.

Not this:

Where are the gifs!

And if they are sticking to their 7 season plan, there is A LOT that needs to get done next season.

In all honesty though guys, dissecting Kit's eye color to this extent is getting dangerously close to the days of the Spider-man 3 "Venom in the eye" debate. Let's not go down that path.

Now, I watched the ep on my computer, so I couldn't tell any subtle changes, but I'd say it's safe to assume that if D&D wanted to make it positive that Jon was warging, they would have gone with the white eye effect. They didn't, which either means:

A.) Jon is dead.
B.) They're saving that particular surprise for next season.

Now, I have been reading the articles where D&D are holding to the stance that Jon really is dead, but I think they're pulling a Nolan/JJ Abrams on that one. (Liam isn't Ra's! Marion isn't Talia! Bennedict isn't Khan!)

Even tho I don't think the eye thing is indicative of anything to do with his resurrection I do think he is coming back so don't let me ruin you hope.:) I'm pretty sure he is coming back. The alternative is Ramsay and 20 men going to capture castle black and the Wall storyline revolving around him and his band of merry Boltons. Just the thought of that:

Not to mention the even stronger evidence being that Melisandre just got back to the wall literally a few hours before the shanking. That to me is more indicative than anything else.
