The later start date has messed up the mojo. Feels like they are taking to long to start the push.

Though I think some of it is how I personally feel. Last season left a bad taste in my mouth, so I am not nearly as hyped as I usually would be.

I was referring to trailers. The past five seasons have gotten multiple good trailers. The earlier seasons got 2-3 good trailers. Yet here we are 20 days from the premier and we have had one pitiful teaser and a single weak trailer.

maybe a new one tomorrow with the national championship game happening... and now that Walking Dead **** the bed, would be nice if they released a good one.

It could be that they're keeping a lid on everything because for the first time it's completely its own thing. But it's also likely that they don't really feel the need to market it as the show sells itself at this point.

I guess it was inevitable. The show is in its sixth season and the show is self sustaining at this point. HBO can just sit back and count on people tuning in. It just makes me miss the days of Season 2 and 3. The hype leading up to those seasons was palpable. Whereas with this season it just feels like, "GOT starts soon? Cool. I wonder who will die." I'm sure Ill be excited on April 24, but HBO isn't really hyping me up at all so far.

I need some quality foreplay, damnit!

It's impossible to stop leaks from a production this size and this high profile.

FWIW, the Hall of Faces thing is the tie-in cover they're using for Game of Thrones. I'd say not sending out advanced screenings of the first however many episodes has helped curb really big leaks. The only one that might be considered spoilery - and only if you're really following closely - is the one of Jon in Ned Stark's padded leather armor with the Stark topknot. None of my friends, who are strictly unsullied, are aware of this leak, or any of the other numerous ones, like the alleged Euron pics.

Fingers crossed that Jon comes back Pet Cemetery style. Bring back the Brotherhood too. Seriously, you guys loved the Starks and the Red Wedding. How ya gonna cut out the Stark sympathizers and the consequences of the RW?

It's impossible to stop leaks from a production this size and this high profile.

Then perhaps it's not clever to end a season on a cliffhanger.

Also, regardless of the size of the production, letting multiple episodes leak online in advance of airing is quite indicative of a problem.

It just seems a little careless to me. I mean there's one spoiler in particular floating around that I find absolutely amazing that it has been leaked. They need to either scare the crap out of their extras or hire more security.
