George read a second Arianne chapter at something called Miscon/Myscon - highlights are that Jon Connington is a Randyl Tarly/Stannis Baratheon type when it comes to military matters and troop discipline. An army from King's Landing has been sent south to meet the Golden Company.

Man I really wish we could have gotten the Golden Company, imagen those war elephants in Westeros.

i like to think they joined boltons army... they had all those horses and did the same attack formation as stannis did against mance

Man I really wish we could have gotten the Golden Company, imagen those war elephants in Westeros.

Jon Connington would have been a great character to introduce as well. They kind of downplayed the romance between Loras and Renly, in the sense that it seemed mostly sexual and Loras never really grieved the way he did in the books. Had they introduced JonCon, it would have been a really interesting and compelling LGBT character that wasn't defined by who he had sex with, but rather by who he loved and the depths he went to for that love.

Casting calls for once good outlaws gone bad....The riverlands with Jaime, Pod and Brienne all seemingly there.......Lannisters and Freys all in one place ripe for the taking....and now this news.

After all this time, they couldn't possibly be swerving their own swerve, could they?

It'd be very late in the game to do it given with 13 episodes left after season 6, that the fat cutting would be in full swing. Stoneheart would just seem like an unnecessary wildcard at this stage, though it can't be denied she'd serve as a nice contrast to Jon in terms of the best and worst of what the Lord of Light can give.

Also, with the Boltons likely eviscerated by the end of this season, what better way to top Joffrey and Ramsay than having the last non white walker big bad be a Stark gone horribly wrong?

One of the folks over at Watchers on the Wall dismissed that notion, as they had heard from a source close to production that both Stoneheart and Young Griff were cut.

More Brotherhood's good. I been waiting to see them, though I can't see Thoros as the hangman sort of guy. Over on WOTW they mention a rumor that he filmed scenes involving some hangings. I do wonder who's calling the shots with them since we don't know if Beric's back too.
