There's really nothing else to do with Cersei and Jaime after this season, IMO... they both should die in the finale. At least one of them.. 13 episodes left and they don't seem to have a real purpose for the end game.

There has to be at least one main character in King's Landing . They arent going to kill off the only two viewpoints in KL with 2 seasons left.

....Assuming there is a kings landing left.

Dany could be there by season 7 :o

Her army still needs to get across the sea, make landfall and move thousands across land. If she enters by the Blackwater she will need to commit to a siege. The city wont just be handed over to her. That will probably happen sometime next season. But i wont happen in the finale of this season or even in the first episode of next season I think. Jaime or Cersei should be safe until at least season 8 or the season 7 finale.

If kings landing is even there anymore.

I'm just saying their story has run its course and has no use in the end game.

You think the Walkers will get there before her? That's probably very probable. And would fit with the reoccurring image of the throne room covered in snow that we've seen throughout the series.

We have no way of knowing that yet.

The Lannister army isnt going anywhere yet and they wont sit on the side lines for the rest of the show.

Cersei killing Marg and Mace is going to no doubt result in the Tyrells declaring war on the Lannisters. So their story next season will probably be Cersei and Jaime and the Lannister army dealing with that. At least until Dany gets involved in some way. I could totally see the Tyrells siding with Dany against the Lanisters. Olenna isnt going to try to fight the Lannisters and Dany. And Olenna isnt going to ever side with the Lannisters after what Cersei does in the finale.

How do we know that happens in the finale? I thought all the leaked synopsis' were false?

Not all of what is known came from the fake synopsis.

We know cersei ignites the Wildfire under KL, and the safe bet is she blows up the Sept. Since Marg's and Cersei's trial is supposed to be taking placeplace its a safe bet that Kevin, Mace, and Marg will be at the Sept when it happens. The High Sparrow will be their too.

Ahhh. Tricksy. I like it.

I will be interested to see who reaches Kings Landing first between the WW and Danny though.

...Let's be real. The WW's have taken 1000's of years and they'll still beat her there. She'll get distracted with the inner politics on some island as she's sailing to Westerns and delay their trip for a few years.

Not snow... Ash...

We also know that [BLACKOUT]Olenna, Varys and the Sand Snakes meet... Varys convincing them to join Dany ...thats his mission. [/BLACKOUT]

Oh so thats what he is up to. I wasnt sure what he would be doing since he wasnt going to kill Kevan.

Ugh this means Dorne will be in the finale. I hope Varys and Olenna can make those scenes interesting.

Yep... it definitely is in the finale.

I thought everyone would be ecstatic! LESS NORTH! MORE DORNE! LESS NORTH! MORE DORNE!

Thinking about that makes me laugh.

[BLACKOUT]Hopefully the majority of the scene consists of Olenna and Varys verbally pwning the sand snakes. [/BLACKOUT]

Personally, and this is the book reader part of me showing up here, I think Jaime has had his last make out with his sister. The show has done nothing on par with Jaime's break up with his sister-lover, but if Cersei ends up being responsible for Tommen's death and goes full Mad Queen, even show Jaime would probably start treating Cersei as a threat, even if the show wants to emphasize he loves her. Book Jaime's all set to be a seperate faction from his sister, and I tend to think they'll probably at least follow his final fate in the show.

Jaime's real distinguishing trait in terms of his honor and morality is that he is a man of sanity, if nothing else. He slew the mad king because the old man went suicidal and genocidal at the same time, not because of his loyalty to his father. Maybe Cersei goes mad, retreats to Casterly Rock, and Dany and co. find they don't have time to bring the lions to heel because, hey, freakin' ice zombies. And maybe Tyrion (who's the only one I can see staying the Stormborn Queen's hand from executing the Kingslayer) begs for his brother's usefulness to at least bring the Rock's manpower to the North.

There's a part of me that likes the idea of having that fever dream Jaime had of "something" lurking in the mines beneath Casterly Rock be a dream of confronting his mad and dangerous sister back in their home, maybe with so,e assistance from Brienne. Heck, maybe if we don't get Cleganebowl, we'll instead get Brienne of Tarth and the Kingslayer against the Walking Mountain.

I'm looking forward to how GRRM resolves Arya's time with the Faceless Men. I guarantee he'll have found a way to tie their organization into the greater plot. That's something I was disappointed with - the show had a great design for the House and its halls, but the actual importance of this plot doesn't seem all that great in the grand scheme of the show.

Now Im imaging a scene in which Jaime is looking for an insane emaciated Cersei in the dark mines of Casterly Rock. I could totally see her snapping and not taking care of herself at all.

I kind of expect a lot of that from the power players that didn't believe in the white walkers. Snapping, losing it, being completely off-balance when the cold winds come for them.

Just locking themselves in their castles refusing to believe whats going on. Like what Janos Slynt did when the giants attacked the wall. He wouldnt even believe what he was seeing with his own eyes.

Man, the south is in for an absolutely horrendous rude awakening.

My buddy leaned over during that scene in WotW and said, "Hey, look - your fairytale just ripped through your rolled steel gate." :funny:
