I know it's been discussed only in passing, but I really hope they don't change [blackout]Tyrion being the one to kill Shae. I don't want it to be Tywin. I want to feel the full weight of this man becoming something more monstrous than he was before. And that means ***** needs to get choked out[/blackout].

My theory is that this will happen, but maybe not via the same method used in the books.

Would love to see this battle...:hubba

The mumakil are waaaaay bigger than the mammoths. Not even close.

So as someone who has had possibly some big moments of the finale spoiled for me sadly, but still am incredibly excited for, should this finale be possibly an episode to top all episodes? The showrunners sounds really confident about it.

Why does The Blackfish hate The Night's Watch so much?

I don't think so, but I think it could be one of their best finales. Because in previous seasons, the most notable events have usually happened in the episodes right before the finales (and then they sort of use the finales to wrap up and set the characters in their next new directions), whereas like I said several pages back before Episode 9, this is the first season yet that I'm actually looking more forward to the events of the finale than of the episode before it.

Also was this the biggest episode 8 so far in any season? Can't really remember what happened in them in previous seasons. If the finale lives up to expectations this could be my favourite season with such a strong finish and strong start.

I believe so, because of Oberyn vs The Mountain.

I've been working on a Kingsguard costume from this show. A few weeks ago I finished it and debuted it at a convention that GRRM was attending. A New York Times reporter approached me and said that he saw me and wanted me (and a few others) to take part in the photoshoot for an article they were writing on him. Here's a pic of me in costume with GRRM:

Wow, that's awesome.

Did you ask him when the next book will be finished? :oldrazz:

Thanks guys! It was an awesome experience!!!

YoungE808, it took several months to make, working on it in various degrees of obsession.

I had a feeling we were looking at more of a bigger finale than necessarily overall episode. But that's fantastic to hear either way. If I want I think is coming is coming, then it sounds like one hell of a microphone dropper of a finale.

What do you guys think will be Season 5's big Episode 9 moment?

I have a feeling it'll be the Battle of Winterfell. I think they could find a way to stretch Dany's stuff to Season 6, what with Xaro Xhoan Doxos (spelling?) and the Sons of the Harpy - granted, I haven't finished ADWD yet - but Season 4 already covered some of the Boltons' plot from that book and I can't see Stannis waiting around at the Wall for two or three seasons. It would mean spoiling the books but it's just inevitable at this point.

Although, one thing I have noticed is a pattern with the Episode 9's...

S1: big twist (Ned's execution)
S2: battle (Blackwater)
S3: big twist (Red Wedding)
S4: battle (the Wall)

So perhaps the pattern will continue and Season 5's Episode 9 will be some kind of big twist.

I just saw ''The Children''

Oh. My. God! This is truly the best episode of the series. Amazing. I still have goosebumps! I can definitely see this getting both Writing and Directing nominations at the emmys! Brilliant!

No spoilers at all please, but was it poorly placed or feel stressed or rushed in any place? I haven't read the books, but some book readers have expressed fears that it would be.

It was actually very well edited. The episodes flew by very fast, but in a great phase. Closet I can compare it is ''A Golden Crown'' from season 1. A lot happened and it was very well placed.

No spoilers from me! Anyone who want details can PM me, but I will not post here even with a blackout or spoiler tags.

The episode is just fantastic and you don't need to get spoiled! There are some things different than the books, that will actually have that awesome GOT WTF moment on a lot of you :D
