Eh, only part I liked was Arya decides to join Sandor. But of course, the showrunners destroyed another ending with Arya and Gendry. Eff them to hell, Hopefully after this is all done, GRRM will let us know what really happens.
I actually thought that was very earned.
1.) Gendry, my dude, chill. Proposal after one night of hooking up....not a great look.
2.) Ayra would never be a lady.
That scene I thought was very fitting. And in keeping with her character. The biggest issue I had with the ep was, once again, ships sneaking up on people in freakin' ocean. Also, DANNY IS ON DRAGONS. HOW DOES SHE NOT SEE THEM?
Other than that, I thought it had some good drama. Good set up of the tension between Danny and Jon. I'm personally hoping that Jamie was being intentionally vague to Brienne because he does plan to kill Cersei, but if he does go back to her...I mean, it sucks, but it's also true to life.
Look at it this way, how many people do you know who have had a bad relationship in their life, and how many times have you seen them go back to that person? Hell, how many do you know that never leave? Even something simpler like a bad habit, how many people do you see see "quit" something like smoking for years only to go back to it later?
That's the nature of addiction. And it's no different for abusive or dysfunctional relationships. It's also something I could see GRRM doing. Just because people make strides doesn't mean they don't backslide. In fact, I'd be willing to wager that happens more often than not.
