Game of Thrones General (Non-Book Related) Discussion Thread - Part 1

So next week I might faint from an overload of awesomeness with Endgame out then GOT’s battle episode. This will be something.

Next week's episode is going to be absolutely lit, man. I wonder how they are going to the tackle the problem of disaster / action fatigue though. An hour of a monotonous war fight can get tedious, but it can be great if executed properly I'm sure.. so it'll be cool to see.

This last episode was so sick. Lots of really satisfying moments.

Really cathartic episode tonight. Gonna make next Sunday's all the more devastating. :csad:

That Arya/Gendry scene, while more or less in character for both of them, still made me a little uncomfortable even though Maisie Williams is 22. Just because we've literally seen her grow up on the show.

Seeing Ghost again was a relief.

Also, was this the first episode where no one died?

So they've really been emphasizing the Winterfell crypts. Wonder why.

I did love seeing that moment between Dany and Sansa even if talk of politics did ruin it at the end.

If the name of the episode isn't "Death flags", then the writers are bad at their job.

This episode was really effective. I predict I will rewatch it again after the deaths that will happen next week. The Brienne/Jaime scene ended me. They will most likely never see each other again. :waa:

Between episode 3 and Endgame, I will be a basket case next week.

Yes! Same here. I'm debating if I should request the following Monday off from work so I can recuperate.

So yeah, watched the episode. Loved every little moment of it.

Looks like Arya and the Hound made their amends finally. But I take it she still doesn't forgive Beric for selling Gendry, and when she seen him, it's probably what spurred her to go have her little quality time with him. Just have to wonder now, did he plant his seed in her?

The beginning with Jaime being on trial, was understood, but Daenerys should know by now that he had to kill her father because he went completely nuts, killing very honorable men thanks to his paranoia. Good thing Brienne stepped in.

The Daenerys and Sansa scene was pretty good, but again, I am still not sure exactly where they are taking Daenerys. It really seems like she is completely conflicted and is suffering from some kind of bipolar. Sure, she has her sights on the Iron Throne, and contests anyone who questions it, but then she did finally come around and listened to both Sansa and Jorah's council about keeping Tyrion around, and safe! I think her biggest enemy is that she is constantly being haunted by the ghost of Verserys, because it does seem when she starts to go down an ugly path, she is seeing the world through her brother's eyes. But when she hears Jorah, Jon, Tyrion and now even Sansa, she steps back and thinks more clearly about her actions.

Nice little Jorah and Lady Mormont scene. I hope she doesn't die in the battle.

Now, I am very worried about Bran. I just would love to have a scene where Jon and Tormund see Bran warg, and Jon looks surprised, and Tormund is like, you never heard of a warg before you started hanging out with us, but yet you are related to one. You really do know nothing Jon Snow! LOL.

My favorite part though, Jaime officially Knighting Brienne.

I predict the Marvel and GOT fandoms are gonna drown in a deluge of tears next weekend.

I know these dudes set out to remind us why we love these characters, only to stab us in the heart once with some dragonglass and again with Valyrian steel

That's very likely my fate as well. :D

Lol but why were they playing a sort of lovers reunited theme when Jon saw Eddison?

That was almost an adaptation of All Along the Watchtower.

This week: Brienne gets knighted.

Next week: Brienne dies.

Maybe. I dunno. It could happen. Though this episode could've easily been titled "Waiting."

I can’t believe no one’s mentioned yet the
Ghost
sighting. That’s like so important. :D

Prolly came back just to die lol. And Jon won’t even notice.

Spending budget for Ghost vs spending budget for Dragons, we all know what wins.

Though I suspect it is going to so dark, that we won't see them anyway.
