I had a few people texting me it was too dark, fuzzy, hard to see and it kinda was. I think it was an “artistic choice”, coulda been done better.

I expected a bigger death count of known characters.

Drogon is a beast

Bran is annoying

I was thrilling but also a bit of a let down

Ghost is supposedly visible in the preview for Episode 4. He somehow survived.

I'm legitimately at my wits end with the way D&D handle Ghost. He doesnt even look that big anymore.

Ugh, and now we’re going to go back to battling for the Iron Throne when the entire point of the Others in the books is that the Iron Throne doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. The show I guess decided the Iron Throne IS the grand scheme of things.

Folks can make fun of Neil Marshall after Hellboy flop, but his GoT episodes were more than solid. The cast made a big deal out of shooting for 40 nights and the most money ever spent in television, but it was shakier and darker than having Michael j fox hold the camera and having Stevie Wonder directing.

Man, the Night King was basically Darth Maul with crappier fighting skills and fewer lines.

Miguel Sapochnik did a fine job directing "Hardhome" and "Battle of the Bastards" -day battles- but they obviously should have hired Neil Marshall for this one. He directed "The Watchers on the Wall", one of my favorite battles in this series, and "Blackwater" both of which happened at night and we could see everything clearly. This was really chaotic.

I think Miguel just bit off more than he could chew in terms of the plotting and execution. He didnt know how to use all the players effectively.

The Night King disappears for stretches and doesnt do much. Jaime and Brienne are very underused and inconsequential. Dany and Jon are all but useless. The dragons are criminally underused so that they dont become deus ex machinas. When they were trying to light the trench Jon and Rhaegal were right there beside it but didnt light it all so Mel could have her big moment.
