Game of Thrones General (Non-Book Related) Discussion Thread - Part 1

How did Arya even sneak past the White Walkers at the end before killing the Night King?

She was trained by a water dancer sword master and the Faceless Men. The implication being she can move unheard and unseen when she needs to. And the Walkers were so focused on Bran and overconfident in that moment that she could make a move.

I just can't believe that the greatest existential threat to that world
was popped so quickly and easily! I was sure that the Night King and the AotD would last at least one more episode, and it should have! I feel so deflated.

And honestly folks, after all the emotion spent on Avengers:Endgame... I'm totally fried.

I've said it before, but I'm happy that I watched the key episodes we were told to watch. Almost all of this season thus far has called back to certain moments or actions in one way or another.

Like I totally forgot Arya had trained with a staff and then we see her request Gendry to make her one this season. Then of course, the moment with the dagger which she kinda did when sparring with Brienne.

So did Bran know it would pan this way
hence him giving Arya the dagger?

Here's another item I couldn't see clearly
-which dagger did she give Sansa then if not that one???

Was Bran
messing with Viserion when Jon was going face to face with him?

After the **** they just went through, Dany should just fly Drogon to KL and burn the Red Keep down and burn Euron's fleet. To hell with being "better". The North has lost enough people. Dany has lost enough people. I dont think anyone at Winterfell would have the will or the concern to argue in favor of a siege at KL.

But I eagerly await D&D's attempt to rationalize a costly siege.

Anyone else thought of West World’s score during that whole piano sequence?

I can certainly picture this debate happening all over again with the same spiel about innocent lives and collateral damage from Tyrion, maybe even Jon too who knows. (((sigh)))

I like how Dany
literally pointed Jorah’s body towards a wright and used him as her shield.
:funny:

Well we at least got to see the NK show something other than his fiercest resting b*+ch face when he smirked at Dany.

Yeah one thing I'll give this episode is when the NK was on screen he looked ****ing awesome. I could tell they really went all out with his makeup and cgi in this episode. He hasnt looked this good since Hardhome.

I liked his new gladius style sword too. And they wasted it.

Them GoT runners put on their best RJohnson hats. The fans wanted this or that?! Nah, we're going to do the opposite. lol
Well, given the reactions on social media, I would say it worked out pretty well for them...

For a moment, I thought dude was going to talk just because of that. :funny:

Me too. When he smirked I was like "Oh **** he's finally showing an actual personality!" *10 minutes later*
"andddd he's dead."

****ing hell I hated this.

I was ready...

To hear him say something either to Dany, Jon, or Bran. :hehe:

Speaking of, I don't even remember what exactly the point in going after Bran was. Was there something he needed from Bran? I remember the fact that he touched him in that one vision is what allowed The Wall to lose its magic or something like that.
