I wonder though... once the Walkers take down the wall, what does that mean for Essos? Will Winter affect that continent as well? Do the Walkers have a way of getting over there? If not, then I guess Daenerys could just wait until the Walkers wipe out everyone in Westeros and winter passes, and then just move over and take the entire kingdom for herself.

The Long Night effects the whole world, and with the White Walkers in power Winter would never pass.

Um sorry but do you guys not know that Rhaegar is the present day Night King? It's a common book fact so not a spoiler, what we saw with the children was just the creation of the first night king... this one is the 13th.

What? Is this really true? I haven't read the books, but his sounds quite interesting...

I might be pushing really off subject here, but I've been thinking about the end game and I'm pretty convinced that Tyrion will end up on the Iron Throne.

I don't know if you guys have read the theories about Tyrion's possible heritage, but that is part of the reason for my theory. Also, I feel like his time in the story has groomed him to be the rightful ruler. He served as the hand of the king and has done well. He came up with the strategy that helped handicap Stannis' army at Blackwater, he has been coin of the king, he has been interm ruler of Mereen and has done a much better job of ruling than Dany ever has. There is actually peace right now and he helped tame the dragons a bit.

Tyrion was also extremely well traveled, like going to the wall to converse with Jon and migrated all the way to Mereen to help Dany, he knows the land. My other theory is that the book is called "A song of fire (Dany) and ice (Snow), but you only write songs about dead people, right? My guess is that Dany and Jon both die as heroes of the realm during the war with the WWs, Tyrion becomes king afterwards and marries Sansa (ironically).

I've always thought that with the way GRRM thinks that maybe the Night King wins in the end.

No, he is joking.

The Night's King is just a legend in the books. He hasnt been around since the Age of Heroes which was 10,000 years before Rhaegar was born.

Here is the wiki page for the book character:

:funny: sorry venom, I should have put a sarcasm smiley or something...

Rhaegar is definitely not the Night King... Night's King ... whatever you want to call it. It's impossible in so many different ways :)

Tyrion will never be king. No matter how capable he is he is still a a deformity as far as the world is concerned.

Do you think the showrunners will have it settle in over Essos, with Dany and her horde being forced to flee a wight-overrun Meereen?

Since the Night's King can follow Bran, I think I would rather the White Walkers cross the Wall in a less obvious manner than bringing the whole thing down. The idea of everyone playing their games down south and then having the wights swarming everywhere (like they did around and in the raven's tree-cave) is appealing.

It's a quick scene in Bran's flashback a couple episodes back. but it is a BTS.

There is also some of it in the season 1 trailer.

Oh, I see. Too bad, I hope they show more of the Mad King and Rhaegar/Lyanna storyline in Bran's flashbacks.

Well we still have to see the rest of the Tower of Joy so it's possible some other moments could be mixed into that stuff.
