This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]503301[/split]
Episode 3 was the first PG-13 film I saw in theaters so 6 year old me felt like I was mature for getting to see it.![]()
Going back to the last part of this thread, even though I am still in my 20s, I have seen all 6 Star Wars movies and the Clone Wars movie in theaters. So some of you, especially SPIDEY, need to step their game up.
The flim where Anakin Skywalker slaughtered kids your age. How nice.

But Lucas said that the films were for kids so you were the perfect age Snow Queen.
I actually always liked the idea of the slaughter. The problem with it is the setup. The idea that Anakin got there in about 5 mins is ridiculous imo.Well how else would we know he's evil?![]()
I saw AotC three times in theaters. I was trying to convince my younger self that it was good imo. It did not work.I think I was... 16 when RotS came out.
Theatre vewings:
OT: Nevah.
PT: Once for TPM, twice for AotC, once for RotS.
TCW movie: Nevah.

Basically I was saying that Lucas was full of crap sometimes when defending the prequels, particularly Jar Jar Binks. By all means defend your films but do not pretend that Star Wars is strictly for children when you show us something as gruesome as Anakin's defeat. That is a borderline R rated scene. I watched Robocop and A Nightmare on Elm Street as a little girl so I am not complaining about the violence. The slaughter doesn't bother me either. The first film I saw in theatres was Batman Returns so I don't have much issue with kids seeing dark stuff within reason, plus they don't show anything. I do find it odd that Star Wars is often called "kids films" though, even by George. I never felt like I was watching a kids film when watching them. I find that idea comes about when trying to explain why the older fans don't like certain things.
