Ghost Rider 2 In The Works - Part 2

I have to say it: the special effects on the Ghost Rider look AWESOME.
I think it's probably one of the best comicbook-to-movie transitions alongside Iron Man. I mean, it's visually beautiful to see.
Now, I hope the story and the movie will match those standards.

I really REALLY hate the first GR, and I still don't buy Nic Cage as Johnny Blaze. However, I must say GR2's trailer is quite amazing, and it seems like they finally figure out how to do the flaming skull correctly. So when will SHH give GR his own forum once again?

Do we know it's really a pissing scene for sure or is it just the way it is cut in the trailer after the boy (presumably Ketch) makes that comment? He could be actually using his hands to spray his fire like that in the actual film.

It seems odd that he would actually get his penis out to relieve himself when he's finished with a victim, or that he would feel the need at that point to take a leak. What if he doesn't need to go? And wouldn't his victim be thinking "uh oh, he's getting his literal ***** out. Now I'm really buggered!"

Good point, the fire pissing scene is fine to me but I DEFINATELY would like to see Ghost Rider shooting flames from his hands at some point in the film.

Projectile attacks look the coolest whenever they're coming from the character's hands imo. Although releasing them from other areas is perfectly fine every now and then.

Pissing fire is a step down compared to Gerard Butler pissing vodka to fuel a car in Gamer.

The only complaint I have after watching the trailer is that I want GR's skull flames to be a little larger.

Other than that small complaint GR: SOV is shaping up to be my ideal awesome GR film. :woot:

:ghost:  :ghost:  :ghost:

What is the budget for this? Those SFX are actually pretty amazing. Better than a lot of 100 million dollar + superhero movies.

This film just seems like it represents Ghost Rider better than the first. Are they focusing on how he's badass? Yeah, but that's a good thing.

I love that trailer. I am excited for this as much as I am excited for TDKR, Avengers, and Amazing Spider-Man. This isn't gonna be deep or emotional, but this will be kick ass, bad ass, and crazy.

"Oh, it's awesome" is what he says?

I watched that clip several times, I could not understand him. Weird.
Trailer looks cool, I just hope the scene with him getting shot in the mouth plays a little differently. That was just... weird.

75 million? Damn, that is some great CGI work then. Who did the CGI?

imdb says some fx joint called Iloura out of Australia. They worked on Charlotte's Web, Where the Wild Things Are and that HBO Pacific series.

pissing fire > robot pissing lube

I've always said these two directors get away with making bad movies.
Trailer looks cool but not as cool as the last trailer did.

look forward to it.

I didn't like it. I don't remember saying I hated the movie for it though I did think it was somewhat juvenile.

I don't fit either of your rather extreme conditions. Maybe I'm a special snowflake?

Well you are special, because its referring to those people who already hate the movie because of one scene.

Pretty sweet trailer. Agreed that the special effects look 100% better. The burnt-to-a-crisp jacket and bike look amazing and the fire & skull looks very very convincing. Much more than GR1.

Did anyone notice how bad the sound was? Almost all of the dialogue sounded terrible. I guess they'll be doing a significant amount of ADR for this.

Trailer looked pretty exciting! It looks like this will be grittier and darker! At least we can be rest assured that whatever Neveldine and Taylor put, it'll be more intriguing than what Mark Steven Johnson did.

.....oh, loved the last scene of the trailer!!:)

What last trailer? This is GR2's first reveal (Unless you count the ComicCon footage).

What I really like.. right after the make him face his demon and they scroll to GR. Look really hard at the jacket on the shoulder, its bubbling.. I mean they got some great detail going on.

As much as I thought that Ghost Rider looked awesome in the previous Movie, I love the style change from clean looking to looking dirty and burned.

I believe the films budget was around 135 million and got cut down to 75 million.

I watched a blog on Facebook awhile back. Brian Taylor was their guest star.

He said the reports on the budget of GR 2 are blown out of proporation. He said they had about the same budget as "Gamer"...which was around $50 million.

They get the most bang for their buck :woot:

Meh I think Sony definitely probably in the early stages wanted to invest more into the budget and re-thought things and made some cuts. It definitely seems like the marketing budget for this thing is way less than the first films. Comes out in 6 months and we are just starting to see it officially being promoted.

I keep forgetting GR is with Sony. Spidey crossover. Make it happen.
