Ghost Rider 2 - reboot with Dan Ketch?

That's be nice...at least the budget wouldn't get in the way. Kinda like Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury.

I don't think Marvel needs to get the rights back to GR to make a new one happen. With Marvel's current desire to get Avengers characters their movies to make the Avengers movie, GR would just be put on the backburner. GR2's best chance is at Sony as far as immediate future goes.

But a less goofy reboot win Danny would be the way to go. And please actually make GR WORK to defeat someone. All the villains in GR were too easily beaten. I liked the movie, but that was a problem.

Having said that, I wouldn't want a reboot.... but I do want (to be <hehe>) Dan Ketch in this film. I would love to see them merge the Vengence story with the Dan Ketch lore and make him an enemy of Blaze / Ghost Rider. That would add some lovely tension between two brothers.

I wouldn't want Vengeance in the movie for the simple reason that I prefer a stand-alone JB feature. The tie-in works well in the comics. Something tells me it wouldn't work well in a movie.

I wish Marvel can get the rights back, and reboot it with new actor, replacing Blaze with Ketch (since Cage is attached as Blaze), making it rated R, and tune down on the silliness of the first movie. Oh, and keep MSJ far away from GR 2.

Marvel still insisit on not making R rated movies. Anyway it doesn't have to be R rated. TDK had acid deaths, knife deaths, people being shot. Its all how you film it. If your clever you can film a dark or more adult orientated movie while keeping the content rating PG or PG13

Batman isn't as graphic as Ghost Rider though. GR deals with demons, cannibals, vampires, etc... so naturally blood will be there. It doesn't make sense to rate it PG-13.
