Who ever said allison s from wh 13 the other page god I would love her in gb I definately could see her as a buster. As cool as other locales would be nyc, the car, and hq are all key parts and characters themselfs of gb world.

I have to agree with the people who do not want Anna Faris in this movie. I think she can be really funny sometimes, but I just don't see her fitting as a Ghostbuster. She is usually kind of over the top and LOUD. It doesn't help that her SNL last season was easily one of the worst ones I have ever seen.

While I am on the subject of SNL, I also wouldn't want Kristen Wiig. There are times when I find her to be really funny, then other times where I just want her to go away forever. She is honestly like a female Jim Carey.

Uh....yeah. I mean, whats the point of the movie otherwise?

I’m pretty apprehensive about this movie, never mind the obvious reasons (everyone is so old, no Bill Murray). Even though Ghostbusters is obviously set in the 80s, it’s pretty timeless despite that, which is part of the charm – we know its from the 80s just based on the music and technology of the time, but the movie doesn’t really go out of its way/make a point of it. I have a feeling that this won’t be the case with GB3…that to try and sell the idea that the original team is old and in need of a younger group, they’ll smash the time/generational difference over our heads with pop culture references and other circa 2012 ilk. Its just cheesy.

Obviously, we have NO idea how it’ll play at, and yes there’s no indication that they WILL do this, but I do see it as a possibility.

As much as I love some of the past and present SNL cast, Wiig is very hit or miss with me (some of the other cast members are almost all miss... looking at you, Kenan Thompson).

I'm trying to think of who would actually fit well in a Ghostbusters film. I do like the Bill Hader idea. Tina Fey would work in the "Janine" position, but maybe play it as being more disgruntled than Janine was. I am tempted to say Amy Poehler because I LOVE her, but I just don't know if she would actually be a good fit for Ghostbusters.

For the female Buster, I'd say go for someone with comedic delivery that is more Rashida Jones and less Anna Faris.

How about this idea Oscar hearing the stories from Dana on the GB's decides to do a low rent tv show in NYC like the Ghost Hunters on Syfy called the Ghost Chasers with 3 of his friends Jake, Eddie, and Jessica. The stumble across a cult that is bring a big bad ass demigod to enslave the world. Because of this the ghost world is reopen Oscar and his friends try to get the guys to suit up one more time to save the world.

as for anna i could see her in the film and i wouldnt mind her but then she like seth rogen or jonah hill are folks i dont really want to see as busters. that idea would be an interesting one to start up a plot for why ghosties are active again. And would be a fun play on all that crappy ghost hunting shows.

How about this idea Oscar hearing the stories from Dana on the GB's decides to do a low rent tv show in NYC like the Ghost Hunters on Syfy called the Ghost Chasers with 3 of his friends Jake, Eddie, and Jessica. The stumble across a cult that is bring a big bad ass demigod to enslave the world. Because of this the ghost world is reopen Oscar and his friends try to get the guys to suit up one more time to save the world.

I've never liked the idea of them quitting because no more ghosts. When the second cartoon was made, that was my problem at the start, was seven quiet years in New York shouldn't equal no more ghosts. They should be able to travel, and honestly, while Gods and deities aren't an every day occurrence, people die every day.

Other than that Soulman, it isn't too bad an idea. Kinda like the video game's story with the cult, but I could see it working.

I just had a thought. Since dan has said for past few yrs now his and harold characters would be all banged up/medical reasons, yada yada for why they can't bust any more. I was thinking since now they will probably write murray/venkman out either has died or what I would prefer more retired and moved away(so we can at least keep slime chance of a cameo). That then leaves winston so my idea is since he is the best in shape/looks buster today what if he had became mayor or nyc so then that gives a reasson why he couldn't be busting any more. Plus give him a nice position of power and helps the new gbs out in public eye and what not.

As for film I too wouldn't. Want them to been closed for yrs. I would just have it ghost activity has died down over the years. And with less major ghost attacks the business wasn't as big any more. But they still kept going after easy ghost classes. And then we start up film with egon/ray trying to go after a bigger ghostie but fail. Which then they finally agree to retire but knowing that ghosts will be a problem hire new busters. Then what ever is big bad happens and we get a ghost outbreak and that is how we have more ghosts forrr newbies. Then with that we have ray/egon training new guys and remain at base as support. Then we could also do what I really hope happens is the newbies get over there heads and at end the old schoolers come out to bust once more and save the day. And we get new and old ending the big bad.

Winston as mayor is a nice ring...Egon and Ray should have a small company running out of the firehouse and Peter should be in Hollywood selling the GB as a big summer blockbuster!

Here is my idea anyway.

I think Oscar should be a surprise visitor from Europe where he has been living for the mojority of his life with his mother Dana AND Venkman.

It can be explained that Dana got a job in an Orchestra in London and Venkman decided to go with her.

Oscar in my mine would be played buy Aaron Johnson who is an English Actor who is very capable of doing an American accent but I am thinking that if Oscar has been in Europe or England for a good part of his life he would probably have an English Accent.

Ray and Egon being the oldest normally stay at HQ and work on helping the new field Ghostbusters with information into capturing Ghost etc.

The Field Ghostbusters for me would be led by Winston then include Ghostbusters played by Patrick J. Adams, Damon Wayans Jr & Allison Scagliotti. I see Damon Wayans Jr as maybe Winstons son or Nephew.

I feel Oscar is there because he has never met the Ghostbuster thast once saved his life. He has been shielded from this past from His Mother and Venkman but some how found out the information.

Oscar I can see spending the majority of the film back at HQ with Ray and Egon mainly/probably getting in there way.

I think at some point Ray and Egon could be talking about some sort of spirit they ahve not experience before. (The main Ghosty in this Film).

Oscar avises them of a name of a Guy from England who he has read some papers on that he thinks could help.

Anyway Ray and Egon Look into it and agree this guy could help and invite him over to meet them and maybe talk about a job.

Enter a new potential Ghostbuster played by Benedict Cumberbatch. He can all the qualifications on the Paranormal that out of the current Ghostbusters only Ray Egon and Now Winston who took them at some point between Ghostbusters 2 and Now.

He has some good knowledge on new types of spirits and has maybe written a paper on them hence why Ray and Egon decided to invite him over.

Anyway that being said The Ghostbusters save the day Winston could look like he may retire back to HQ with Ray and Egon by then next film leaving the rest of the New Ghostbusters to do the Field operations.

I think maybe by the end it can be hinted on Oscar becoming a Ghostbuster but I can see Dana turning up somewhere to collect him to go home after she has been performing in New York for a few days but he decides to stay.

Thats how I would like it to go down without any specific details just how to introduce character/actors I would love to see in this.

Also I see Janine still being there.

I think Chicago and Los Angeles can work as other big city settings.
And what about San Francisco and a possible car chase there?

Logan Lerman is another suggestion for Oscar.
And it would be nice to have Freddie Highmore as one of the younger busters. With him attached, I see a possible fantasy element to the plot.

Well, they do have established flexibility here...

In the original it was made pretty plain that there was a lot of paranormal activity because Gozer was preparing to rise.

In the sequel it was Vigo's return that set things up.

All they've got to say is that, pending a big arrival, "extreme" paranormal activity (stuff that needs busting) is rare. And that's been dwindling even more over the years as the GB's slowly put away ghost after ghost.
