Ghostbusters 3 - Part 2

People poo-poo on Bill for his refusal to be a part of GB3 but I don't blame him either.

If Bill really didn't want to do another Ghostbusters film, he wouldn't have done a Ghostbusters video game.

It likely comes down to story and Bill wasn't a fan of the scripts for the Ghostbusters 3 films.

Bill probably wanted Wes Anderson or Jim Jarmusch to direct Ghostbusters 3 in order for him to do it.

Four trained chips? That would definitely be worth checking out!

Would they scream when you eat them though?

I love the idea of an all female group of ghostbusters. So brilliant

I forgot to mention they better be Sour Cream and Onion chips!:argh:

Wes Anderson doing this sounds a lot better than these recent developments.

that was probably why, i read that he literally shredded the script after reading it; and if this current talk of a reboot has anything to do with it, he was right to.

i only wanted GB3 to be a swan song, a goodbye to Harold Ramis.:csad:

As with every incarnation of this revival, I'll believe it when it actually premieres.

That said, Paul Feig and a female-centre reboot sounds downright awful. I'm all for diversifying the team, but the Bridesmaids guy Helmont Ghostbusters and putting together an all-female team sounds like a trainwreck.

Wait - so all female cast? I could get behind that, I guess...

Actually, that's a pretty clever move. If it's all males, people would criticize/compare the cast to the original cast - "This guy is no Bill Murray!!", etc. All females is kind of a clean slate.

My dream picks? Emma Stone and Allison Brie.

I think it sounds gimmicky unless the women happen to be the daughters of the original GB's. If that's the direction in which they go, Jennifer Lawrence as Dana and peter's daughter sounds good to me. i would hope Emma Stone is a part of this as well. i really want to see those two on film together.

I think adding in the daughter aspect for all of them is more gimmicky than making them all women.

Agreed. "Venkman and Dana had a daughter, and Ray had a daughter, and Egon had a daughter, and Zeddmore had a daughter TOO, AND THEY ALL WENT INTO THE FAMILY BUSINESS hurr hurr hurr!!!!"

I could get behind an a female team. Don't like Melissa McCarthy though.

Shouldn't be a reboot though just a contemporary version of the team. There's. I. We'd to reboot it if your going with a. We cast of different characters

If they're changing things so much they might as well just change the whole thing and make a whole new movie with a new concept. Just make a movie about female ghost hunters and drop the connection to Ghostbusters.

Two words: Brand Name

Murray was 33? ****, he looked old even then.

they're ghostsbusters not priests. it's not that crazy to think they'd all end up having families. and also the continuation of a story, not a brand new old story but with **** this time. but yeah it's more gimmicky.:whatever:

Yeah, just looks-wise, I would've assumed the ages of the actors from oldest to youngest was Ramis-Murray-Ackroyd-Hudson, not Ramis-Hudson-Murray-Ackroyd.

I mean there are guys acting that are 40 that didn't look as old as Akroyd and Murray, haha. They put in work though.

I wish they'd go 2 and 2 for the gender. There are some funny actresses out there that could be great in the role.

My #1 pick for a Ghostbuster is still Terry Crews. Imagine him in a scene with a ghost singing and dancing with it. He's great when it comes to stuff like that. He can be hilarious and serious at any time.

I think they should upgrade from 4 busters to 5 or 6.

I hope we get more women like Brie Larson, Alison Brie, Zoe Kazan, Emma Watson, Rose Byrne, etc...

Over the type they'd like to go to; Melissa McCarthy, Cameron Diaz, Kristen Wiig, etc...

Eliza Coupe, Casey Wilson and Elisha Cuthbert.

That is all. :o

That's why I suggest they stay away from people over 40. Most of the suggestions over that age from Tina Fey to Amy Poehler to Sofia Vergara to Melissa McCarthy...I don't particularly like any of them. Sofia is ok she just seems wrong as the idea of a Ghostbuster in my head.

If such a thing happens I'd sooner see Rose Byrne and Mindy Kaling or someone along those lines--they're going to need some non-caucasian people to fill out some of the roles as well.

Rose Byrne would be cool. I had no idea how comedic she was.

Ha this is so freakin' weird. I had no idea that Kaling proposed this idea in her book till I just searched her up in relation to Ghostbusters just now:

Mindy Kaling may be taking part in a star-studded reading of The Breakfast Club this week, but she's got her eyes on an even bigger remake prize: Ghostbusters. The New Yorker reveals that in Kaling's new book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, she proposes a distaff cast that may be just the thing to jump-start the long-dormant franchise: Kaling herself, Emily Blunt, Taraji Henson, and Natalie Portman. But which commercial would Kaling draw from to create her own version of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man? "That T-Mobile girl in the pink dress," she says to the magazine's Book Bench. "Every guy I know has a crush on her — she's pretty and pristine and not edgy at all. She looks like the best girlfriend. Either her or a bottle of coconut water. Wherever I go, there's a bottle of coconut water."
