Ghostbusters 3 - Part 2

I would like to see Rose Byrne in it as one of the GB. She shocked me with how much of a comedian she is.

Two people I want to for sure see in this.

Aubrey Plaza and Sarah Shahi

My morale for this film will pick up if they announce a solid cast.

No offense to Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, but that wouldn't excite me.

Emma Stone. Jennifer Lawrence. Names like that. That would inspire me.

I don't want actual comedian actresses really, if that makes sense. Just women I know can be funny when needed.

I look forward to the new Vacation movie moreso than this one, because the Vacation movie is more of a quasi-sequel than a complete reboot due to the fact that Clark and Ellen Griswold will return in minor roles played by Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo once again rather than both characters being rebooted.

My favorite comedy series of all time finally gets a sequel....

....

and the news of it doesn't excite me at all.

Total reboot?

Okay, so Ghostbusters 1, 2 never happened and don't exist.

So don't call it Ghostbusters 3 then.

All female cast?

Okay, so it's Bridesmaids with proton packs... wonderful...

Eh, lost all interest in this film. Sounds like a redbox or netflix movie to me.

As much of a fan as I am, I hate that Murray, Akroyd and Ramis could never get together on what they wanted to do. I enjoy the game as a canonical third movie, but you know.

I have a great idea for Ghostbusters 3 that will make everyone happy:

Don't make the movie.

Haha I'd be fine with that too.

But if they do make it I would like for them to find a way for it to succeed quality-wise while reaching a broad audience.

Young, up-and-coming talent.
Origin story for a new generation audience. The ship has sailed on Ramis and Murray's obstinance to (major) involvement.
Less Bridesmaids/The Heat/Sex and the City, more Ghostbusters/The Descent.

There will be calls to diversify the team by having at least one non-white woman.

Enter Aisha Tyler :whatever:

the sad part is that will likely be exactly what happens.

I'd be fine with Sarah Shahi. She's of Middle Eastern descent and how I picture what an Egyptian woman would look in a movie about Egypt.

If is not a reboot or a sequel, then what is it? The original property exists, is there, so the new movie has to be SOMETHING.

I think Ghostbusters should stay in the 80s/90s.

But I don't want the Ghostbusters to be women!:csad: what's the point?

Unless the ghosts are need of sandwiches.....

:awesome:

:hehe:

Even if they remained as men, there would still be calls for diversity.

I got a simple solution for that. Cast Damon Wayans Jr.

Maybe Winston could be like Tiger Woods? And the secretary is a lesbian woman from Kenya. Egon must be a fat French guy.

The team should also have a dog called Slimer because he drools so much!:woot:

I'll say it again. No McCarthy. If they have to have a "fat one", get Rebel Wilson.

If is not a reboot or a sequel, then what is it? The original property exists, is there, so the new movie has to be SOMETHING.

It's a parallel universe and the events of the first two are going on the same time as this one. :o

This all female thing is kind of genius. Feig is basically ensuring that this film is immune to criticism.

Being a reboot of a classic and beloved series, it was going to be raked over the coals no matter what. With an all female gimmick though? No one will dare **** on it (at least not publicly) and anyone who does will be called out for MUH SEXISM. You can already see it in this thread. Don't like this brave and progressive new direction for the series? Clearly you're just a backwards, closed-minded misogynist. It's the perfect get out of jail free card.

If I had to pick an all female team I would go with Emma Stone, Kristen Wig, Alisha Taylor, and maybe Jennifer Lawrence.

All these reboots need to get off my Earth!

yeahhhh F this movie
I don't think Ghostbusters needs a reboot at all
but then you involve the people who made The Heat and Bridesmaids?? annnnnnd, I'm done

Ghostbusters 1&2 now never happened and don't exist because they're rebooting it? Over dramatic much? Wow. So I guess any film that's ever been rebooted or remade means the originals never happened and don't exist. What kind of idiotic logic is that? You kidding me?

I wish people would put a rest to this nonsense. It doesn't affect the first film in any way.

Exactly, people get so butt hurt. No one is forcing people to see or accept remakes or reboots, mans the originals are always there to enjoy. I don't understand people.
