i dont think its the fact that its an all female team that is annoying people, when the rumor was it was all girls with ray playing the mentor role little(dont want to say no one as there is always some anti woman asshat out there) had a problem

I think what putting most off is the fact of the history of the people behind it and how they have insisted on distancing themselves completely from the originals in all but name

For what its worth, and I myself have made a distinction against, I haven't really seen that kind of outrage on these forums. The problem I have with the concept is not the female leads, I've wanted some female Busters added to the mix since the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon was on, but how the pull off the film with them. Seeing Bridesmaids and The Heat, they weren't movies that drew a large male audience, and I think they need to find a good balance to draw in everyone and not alienate one sex or the other.
Also a lot of people just want it casted well, and are divided over the directors usual casting choices, which usually includes Melissa McCarthy. She just seems to be a choice that many, myself included, do not want to see because her brand of comedy doesn't really suit GB. But this is a new G for another time, so I guess anything can happen....unfortunately.

I have no issue with an all female team, I love the idea even. What I don't love is the idea of a reboot.

We got the video game though which is better IMO. I mean would you rather have a 2 hour film or like 8 hour Ghostbuster game that's a third film basically?

sadly atari liked to screw around with that as well, and not take advantage of the license

again as others have said its not the fact of female leads, hell i'd welcome a live action Kylie Griffin its the history,past projects of the creative team and the complete separation from the first 2
