Like the suits, hate the stripes, am in the middle on the packs. It can all come together, I just don't know, the packs feel to much slapped together junk, the originals were definitely something of a hack job, but they looked functional. I'm not feeling these yet.

It's tough. Some of us have grown up fantasizing about having our own pack one day. The image has had 31 years to imprint itself into our very souls. I'm pretty sure that first time we saw them they kinda looked like junk with lights on it, too. Hard for me to revisit that opinion, though. The first was out before I turned 2.

It has grown on me exponentially during the day. I actually quite admire it now and am glad they didn't just decide to copy the original. Gotta see it in action, though!

Honestly they look like the size of the 80's Kenner toy proton packs and older than the original movie versions. There's even a manual pressure release valve up by the gun attachment.

As one who is watching his son run around with the old Kenner one on his back, I can say that this doesn't look anywhere near that size. I am unable to get the think on my back anymore.

Still much more compact than the originals.

I actually like that pressure release valve up top. Part of me is just glad it didn't look like an iPack or something.

I don't think anyone's hating on the fact that it's a female cast. What people are hating on is that it is an ALL FEMALE cast.

Personally, I think the dynamic would've been much more interesting if it was mixed.

Neither. It's an all new, original story with all new, original characters. But it's borrowing alot of elements from the 1984/1989 films.
