“The character of Winston Zeddemore and Zeddemore Industries figures strongly into the future of Ghostbusters.”

I think less center stage, and more he's running the business for the next generation as hinted by the end credits. So he's the boss.

To be honest, if they're going to appear as a one-day-of-filming-cameo again I'd rather not have them at all.

Please no more rehashing villains. Consult Aykroyd for a wacky new ghost threat. You know he's got thousands of those stored.

That's probably what'll happen: new villain. Also, I think it's mostly gonna be just Winston involved as he's the one training the new blood.

Oh wow. Didn't expect Jason to step down. At least it's his partner taking over. This will probably get pushed back into '24.

I really, really don't want Murray back.
Nah, Bill won't be returning probably. We'll definitely see Winston and Ray again. Hell, the recent video game actually follows up Afterlife's post-credit scene and no Venkman to be seen. Peter's story's done.

Most likely explanation for Reitman stepping down would be grief I imagine. Not only was the project a love-letter to his father, Ivan was there through the whole production. It would probably be very weird going back. Bummer though. The replacement isn't very exciting.

Agreed. I think the passing of his father probably has most to do with him leaving. I’m glad they had Afterlife to share together.

I’m cool with Gil Kenan as director. Though he’s kind of 50/50 with me. His Poltergeist remake was terrible, but I really enjoyed A Boy Called Christmas even though it doesn’t seem anybody else saw it lol

I have genuinely never heard of the new director and that worries me a little. Really wish Reitman was directing this.

Considering that Kenan was involved in Afterlife and that he is close to Jason Reitman, I think he will do a good job with the follow up

Wonder if we will finally see what Oscar has been up to. I can definitely see him be part of the new team. He’d probably be somewhere in his 30s at this point

Finally watched this and I thought it was a very good and emotional legacy sequel as well as being a tribute to Harold Ramis and Egon. That ending really got too me as someone who was an Ghostbuster head as a kid from the movies to the cartoons and games. So I am looking forward to the next chapter. Kinda nervous that Jason Reitman isn’t coming back but we’ll see just gonna hope for the best.
