I thought Chord already confirmed a graduation episode? Unless they changed their minds. But let Lima end with Sue winning, ND losing nationals and graduating. NY needs to be full time especially with only 1 season left might add well focus on the originals.

They should jump to prrsent day, have Santana/Mercedes living together, Rachel/Kurt with Blaine/tina/artie in dorm rooms.

The changes they're going to make actually sound shockingly good.

1. Sue eliminating the club (I've been rooting for that to happen pretty much all season).
2. More NY, less Lima.

It is kind of funny that the article makes it seem like Amber could have a role in the NYC stuff for the rest of the season, though. Last season, it was like "Mercedes? Aw, who needs her?" and now it's "Oh, she won Dancing With The Stars?.... I guess we could make room for her."

Meh. Lea, Colfer, and Naya are much better actors than Amber.

'Glee': Remainder of Season 5 to Be in New York
1:15 PM PST 1/13/2014 by Lesley Goldberg

Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly says some of the cast will be graduating and moving on as showrunner Ryan Murphy has some "fantastic ideas" for the sixth and final season.

Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly on Monday confirmed plans for the remainder of Glee's fifth season to be set entirely in New York.

Following his executive session at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, Reilly again confirmed that season six will be Glee's final season and will shift to New York when the Fox musical returns from its hiatus Feb. 25.

"We do have it through next season, and that will be its final season," Reilly said, noting that showrunner Ryan Murphy has pitched an arc through the end of season six. "He's got some fantastic ideas on what we're going to do next year for the final year."

As for what the remainder of season five will feature, Reilly confirmed that the series will go "exclusively" to New York for the second half of the year while some students at the Ohio-set McKinley High will graduate this season.

"Some are going to be graduating and moving; creatively, it would be ridiculous that everybody moves to New York," he said, declining to provide specific details on which characters will be making the move. "There will be some that will graduate and move on and they'll arc back in when we do special episodes. They'll always be a part of it. The way it's going to dovetail next season, we'll see some familiar faces coming around in some capacity. But for this season, there will be a graduation, several of the cast members will move on and a few others will go to New York."

Among those who likely will make the move are Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester, with the executive noting that the teachers -- including Matthew Morrison's Will Schuester -- will fit in the same way on the series. "As long as there's a show, there's Jane," he said. "We're not going to be in Ohio anymore the rest of this season."

Also unclear is what will happen to the underclassmen of New Directions, including series regulars Marley (Melissa Benoist), Ryder (Blake Jenner) and Unique (Alex Newell).

The news comes as producers continue to reshape Glee following the death of leading man Cory Monteith, whose Finn Hudson was poised to wind up romantically paired with Lea Michele's aspiring Broadway star Rachel Berry.

Glee will expand its 100th episode -- featuring several returning favorites as well as Gwyneth Paltrow-- to two hours, set to air March 18 and 25.
I wonder if there will ever be a point in time where there can be a news item about Glee that doesn't eventually circle back to Cory dying...

so it's unbelievable that they all move to new york, but not that they seem to travel from New York to Ohio as if it's an hour drive down the road? Show has no logic, don't try to add it now!

Good. I feel bad for the new actors but that's about all. Just let Matthew Morrison leave and pursue other things already. Same with Jane unless they actually have something for Sue to do in NY. Bring back Mercedes.

She'll run for Mayor of NYC. :o:up:

They won't let Jane Lynch go I guarantee it

They've confirmed Jane is sticking around. "As long as there's a show, there's Jane." I think is what was said.

It's been too goddamn long since a Sue's Corner segment.

Have Sue move to NYC and make her even more contrived and shoehorned than she's already become...meh.

Well there needs to be someone funny in NY.

*waits for Primal to bust out the Lima Heights*

Lea, Colfer, and Naya have among the best comic timing of anyone on Glee. And their characters don't have to be ****ing cartoons to be funny, unlike Sue.

guess we're getting classy Quinn this time around.

And does Glee just make males look bad on purpose? Chace is not looking like Chace.

:whatever:

Regardless of writing, Lynch owns everyone. EVERYONE!

This show thinks moving to NYC will improve things? Not likely, it'll still be crap. The only difference is it won't be Glee anymore, it'll be a pale shadow of a shadow. I'd way rather watch contrived Sue comedy than the ridiculously contrived Rachel Berry success story in NY. But I don't watch anymore anyway.

The Lima parts have been awful lately. If you think getting rid of that won't improve things even a tiny fraction, you're fooling yourself.

I just wish these writers would stop playing to the shippers whims and acting like there's even an iota of chemistry between Darren Criss and Chris Colfer.

But have the NY parts been much better? Not really in my opinion. The whole thing is a mess, not just Lima.

The show wasnt Glee when it was in Lima. NY for the most part has been slightly better. But the show is called Glee, not Lima, not New Directions, as long as there is music it will be Glee and everyone who isnt Rachel is still basically an underdog in big bad NY.
