The PS2 is dead, if they had any brains in their head they'd lower the price on the 20 GB to around 300 dollars so that most people could afford it. I wouldn't have gotten a 360 if the PS3 launched at 300ish. I love my 360 but I wouldn't have given it the chance if the PS3 wasn't so damn expensive.
For Feburary:
The Playstation 2 was the 2nd highest selling console. Being beaten by a 45 thousand unit margin by the Nintendo Wii, and outselling the Xbox 360 by 67 thousand Units.
- The Playstation 2 generated more software sales/revenue then any other platform for the month of Feburary.

If Sony didn't have Blu Ray cooking, I would say "If they had any brains they should have planned to release the Playstation 3 in late 2008 and used a Geforce 8X series based GPU".
The whole format war makes it a harder call.
AKA: PS2 isn't dead.
