If there is one thing WB knows how to do, it is advertise a movie.

That poster is one of the best I've seen in years.

Posters that look drawn almost always look better then the photoshop hell we now live in. Another fine example.

I still haven't seen Skull Island, but what would you say is its strengths? I hope this works out. These are the kind of films you go to the theater for.

Understanding that Jaws is not the only way to present a movie monster and perhaps a bad one when your dealing g with something this size. Mixing up scenes of awe along with the action and terror. A good amount of interaction between the large and small scale.

Despite some of its story weaknesses, Skull island actually achrivrd some interesting subtext about American militarism.

In short to emulate the strenghts if Skull Island, don't be afraid to deliver on the monsters, mix up the tone, have something to say.

Definitely the best trailer i saw comingt out of Comic-Con 2018. No contest here.

To be fair, thinking a WB movie with a good trailer is going to end up actually good is hyperbolic pre-assumption.

I said that I was gonna enjoy it, not that it would be good.

We'll see how it turns out. For now, to me, it looks great.

We've barely gotten an idea of the human characters other than Vera Farmiga's character, but okay then. Guess all the characters are now gonna be as boring and cardboard as Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Your word is law.

I never said my word is law. But based on the bland cliche dialogue and what happened in the first movie, I don’t think it’s a bad assumption.

Best trailer of the WB panel. Mothra is queen, but KG stole the show. I mean, yeah, I know he only appeared for a few seconds, but he looked so cool. We need more dragons in movies.

I liked the trailer. Kinda relaxing due to the music and visuals. "Long live the King" gave me a chuckle.

I think the choice of music was a master stroke. It had heft without being the usual by the numbers French horn blaring thing.

The other thing that I think this trailer had... Confidence. This trailer knew what it was selling and had a point of view. It wasn't trying to boil the various aspects of the whole movie down to just 2 1/2 minutes. It gave us the spectacle/scope and a hint of the drama. Concise and to the point.

Between this and the DBS trailer....Japan wins SDCC this year

I hope it turns out great, and everyone here enjoys it. I know the big guy is special to a lot of people here, and there is a lot of expectations to be met. I really hope it works out, especially for the fans here.

Also a great aspect of this trailer is that it didn't show much of the 3 monsters other than Godzilla. Godzilla had some epic shots but the other ones where just glimpses...

- Mothra looked majestic but was covered mostly in fog. The wings spreading looked beautiful.
- Rodan was seen for a split second coming out from an eruption of a volcano. After that we got some glimpses of him flying around on fire...
- Chidora was also seen in flashes but his presence was definitely felt. He looked absolutely massive and also caused massive destruction just by flying.

There's no doubt in my mind that the storm at the start of the trailer is KG coming. Could be it's actually tracking Brown's character in some way.
