There are no characters in this franchise remotely as cute as Ghidorah:

Kamata-kun (I have no idea why they called him that) was adorably terrifying.

They should make a kawaii Godzilla spin off. It would be at least as popular as Baby Groot was

They should make Godzilla a superhero like good guy and give the humans like a remote they can use to call Godzilla to fight bad monsters when they are in trouble.

That voluptuous Gojira was definitely cute wobbling around. I want a plushie of that. Shin Gojira though? That **** nasty.

so will any "super-tech" exist for this next movie? No giant robot defenders? leaving that for the Pacific Rim folks?

I seriously hope not.

The only thing that even remotely that comes close that I'd be okay with is MechaGodzilla.

I'm ashamed I don't know the mythos, so who's this little cute reptile?

Little Godzilla.

He first appeared as Baby Godzilla in Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II, grew into Little Godzilla in Spacegodzilla and then grew into Jr in Destoryah...and then at the end of Destoryah ascended to the throne of KOTM

Vera Farmiga to Star as Millie Bobby Brown’s Mom in ‘Godzilla’ Sequel
Vera Farmiga has joined Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler in the “Godzilla” sequel, “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.”

She will play Brown’s character’s mother in the Legendary film, while Chandler portrays the “Stranger Things” star’s father.

“Krampus” helmer Michael Dougherty is directing the project from a script he penned with Zach Shields.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, and Elizabeth Olsen starred in the 2014 “Godzilla” reboot, directed by Gareth Edwards. Sources tell Variety that Watanabe is the only original cast member likely to return for the second installment.Alex Garcia will oversee the tentpole for Legendary. “Godzilla: King of Monsters” hits theaters on Mar. 22, 2019, with the monster mash-up “Godzilla vs. Kong” slated to bow the following year on May 29, 2020.

Legendary and Warner Bros. announced in late 2015 that all future “King Kong” and “Godzilla” movies would be developed by Legendary and distributed by Warner Bros., starting with “Kong: Skull Island” in March. Legendary currently holds a distribution deal with Universal, but in order to re-team Godzilla and King Kong, the studio returned the rights to WB.

Older Elizabeth Olsen.

Great casting choice. She is great in Bates Motel and in the Conjuring films. This is solid casting in my book.

Holy crap, they're rounding up a great cast so far. Love Vera Farmiga. :D
