Of course I'd love to see a fight in the middle of Metropolis with Braniac

I think it would be really cool to see a huge Meteor shower scene where Superman is trying to stop all the meteors from destroying a major city. That something I think would be cool visually on screen

I'd like to see Superman fight some in the sky, while flying. I think that would be intresting to see, after all, he can fly, and he does have enemies that can fly.

I'm with this one, but it the fight expands over a very large area. Both get pummelled into mountains. And I don't just want punches and kicks - they've got heat vision (shooting with lazers! ), superstrength (catch anyone? ), not to mention it lets there'd be some pretty interesting tactics they could use (this is Brainiac and Superman we're talking about - no 2-dimensional thinking, if you'd be so kind).

I want to see Superman and Brainiac square off in the middle of Metropolis. Fire and smoke fills the air from the earlier struggle.
An epic fight ensues. They use semis and cars as clubs.
I want to see punches thrown so hard that they both get knocked through multiple highrise buildings.
The fight ends up over the open ocean, where ships are then used as weapons by Brainiac, with Superman of course saving them.
Finally, I want to see it end with Superman becoming so angry that he unleashes his heat vison at full power on Brainiac.
Superman's eyes would be crackling and smoking from the blast he unleashed.

couldn't agree more, the only obstacle is Superman requires some sort of motivation to get that mad...

as for what I want... any of the major battle sequences from TAS or JLA/U. But if one was to be picked from those, it would be a battle like that between Superman and Captain Marvel in the JLU episode Clash, where the two pretty much destroy an entire city that 'good' Luthor built... only with Brainiac hailing from New Krypton

It would have to involve Brainiac doing something really sinister to someone that's close to Superman/Clark. Take your pick on who though.

They aren't killing a kid in a Superman movie.

It's simple. I'd like to see him and a Supervillain get into a city destorying battle. Lots of flying and punching and using his other powers.

I liked that catching missles idea, with todays technology that could be a thrilling scene.

agreed, but it has to all lead up to a fight.

but the point about the missile, it reminds me again of another brilliant TAS scene, where instead of catching the missile, superman just gives it a little punch, so that it jumped over its intended target. That was actually a Brainiac episode if I remember.

Many people who were scepticel that the effects could even reasonably be pulled off dont have much to say anymore.

it has nothing to do with the F/x, and everything to do with the story:

Superman cannot defeat doomsday... so in a 'middle' movie of a franchise, it is a POOR POOR choice for a villain. Maybe for a final 'fourth' movie. But definately not for this sequel, or the next.

Doomsday, would actually be a perfect villain for the second Justice League film, if those ever get made.

BTW I have no issues with Supes having a child in SR,nor the way they did it. Supes' had to come from a somewhere and Im sure he was'nt spontainously conceived ??? ... THERE IS NO 'NEXT' SUPERMAN. He is the last... that is one of the central elements of his character, and one of the central problems involved with Jason's existance. Moreover, the Superman persona is not a mantel that is passed on to a next generation. Superman is who Clark/Kal'el is. It's not so much a secret identity, but rather who he really is. And more, if you kill the 'actual' superman, and have Jason take over, it's not really superman anymore, and will just turn into a lame excuse for changing all the characters, but keeping the same dynamic, to 'hip up' an already brilliant property: LAME LAME LAME

much rather see Jason taken by brainiac, and used as a means to create a body capable of taking on a solar powered kryptonian. Turned into an evil space zombie.
