Correct me if i'm wrong but Transformers is not based on a comic book, therefore it's not a CBM.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers

The series has always had some type of ongoing comic though ever since the first cartoon. If the movies were actually good I'd assume they'd take some inspiration from the comics as well as the cartoon.

But at the same time, I agree with you. I count TF/GI Joe/TMNT more as cartoon adaptations rather than comic ones.

TMNT comics were around long before the cartoon though. So, it's a comic film.

The movie is definitely based on the show though, so that's why I count it as a cartoon adaptation; if the Turtles were a bit more grim, THEN I'd count it as a CBM.

That makes no sense. Does that mean Batman & Robin is not a comic book movie because it was more of an adaptation of Adam West?

It all originates from a comic. I remember it was friggin difficult to get them and therefore super collectable and expensive.

So wait, if this finishes in the 80s or higher, TASM2 will be considered arguably the worst CBM of 2014? Yikes.

300: Rise of an Empire is the worst CBM of 2014.

Also, Sin City has yet to come out too.

That is also correct. I tend to forget that some CBMs aren't about superheroes.

I really hope GOTG will get back to 90%.

its up to 106/13 now.. even the WSJ guy gave a positive.. :)

It is a comic adaption. It's based on the unreleased graphic novel Xerxes.

Wich is unreleased, so... But its a moot point anyway.

I dont really.. nah.. i dont know... Bah. Its not important. I concede the CBM status... sort of... Lets not quarrell about that. The only thing i liked about it was Green anyway...

Morgerstern's pretty reasonable with CBMs. I believed he liked Avengers and CATWS. He's a good critic.

I *cannot* wait for what surely will be a stellar review from Armond White. That guy is :hrt::hrt::hrt:

:word:

Oh, while I liked 300: Rise of an Empire, I didn't like the male lead at all. Would've been awesome to see Eva Green thrown down with Lena Headey. Eva Green killed as Artemisia.

That top critic rating on rt is looking pretty damn good.
