Yea with some of the stuff Rockstar is talking about(expanding the world, added features etc) and how they will keep evolving GTAO this could end up turning into some type of MMO that will put all other MMO's to shame.

"We've set this up so there are no limitations. The only limitation is the size of the disc and how much memory we've got. We could, if we wanted, simulate the entire world, different countries, whatever.

I mean, holy crap. I really cant wait to see where they take this.

Rockstar commented on the possibility of GTA V on next-gen consoles today. They sound like they don’t have anything concrete right now and are focusing on the PS3/360 versions only.

Rockstar says:

We’ll get the current gen version out first and see what happens in the future.

It doesn’t look like Rockstar is planning anything just yet. I’m assuming they want to make a bunch of money off GTA V this holiday before they undertake the task of porting GTA V to Xbox One, PS4 and possibly PC in 2014.

Blew my mind to tiny pieces,My living room will become my cave more than ever,I'm getting the PS4 at launch and am excited for Battlefield 4 and the F2P games on it plus WWE2K14 on PS3 But this is THE game that will consume me.

Holy ****, I don't play video games online or MMOs, but this will be the exception. GTA Online looks amazing. I just hope that Rockstar limits it. I don't want to be sniped by a troll every 45 seconds. I really hope they've found a way to limit PvP to those who opt in.

Yeah, I hope so too. GTAIV and Red Dead both had that probelm.

There will probably be times where I'll have to run into my home/get in a sub and go deep underwater in the ocean/run to the woods or mountains/use and military jet and fly the F away..But overall I can totally see myself have FUN!

I dont think there will be a system that prevents that outright, as there shouldnt be, its an online world, enter at your own risk. However R* have a system in place that you can report players who are just being d**k heads and that they will handle it. But they said they want that conflict, if someone keeps sniping you, well then that individual will be marked for you. You can retaliate or put a hit out on them and then other players will chase that individual down to collect that reward.

This kind of goes down two paths. One is the fun battling between players, and the other is, "This guy's just a pain in the arse." We've spent a lot of time on what we call "bad sports." Anyone that's misbehaving, whether it's blowing up someone's car or shouting abuse--anything that pisses people off--we can track that. The game can track that, and you can report them. If anybody's a bad sport, then we deal with them.

The other side of it, where it's just the fun gameplay, we want that to happen. We want you to run off with the cash and me to come and chase you. Or you run off with the cash and I'll phone up one of my contacts and set a bounty on you. Then somebody will kill you, you'll drop the cash, and I'll get it all. We'll track that as well. So if we always battle with each other, the game will remind us, "Oh, it's that guy. He pissed you off a couple weeks ago. Maybe you should deal with him."

On a side note, Rockstar said they dont have any plans to sell GTAO separately. Which is a bit odd considering they keep saying how its going to be its own separate thing.

"We don't have any plans to sell GTA Online separately," the spokesperson wrote. "It will come free with every copy of GTA V and doesn't require a code, online pass, or anything like that."

Although maybe it wont be "sold" per-se, but itll be a free download, similar to Uncharted 3's MP at some point?

At first I was disappointed that online was getting delayed until October 1st which is 2 weeks after release day But that's actually good for me cause I get 2 weeks to do single player's story and get used to it's character before going crazy with online

Grove street would be cool as a nod to SA But I don't get why some people seem obsessed about it,Do some expect characters from that game still living in the neighborhood or drive around the block for old times sake?
