Today it's just cold & wet outside. As for Cobra sending me anything nice, not really. I did get myself a nice PS4 though. :woot:

I'd say maybe 8-10 people would be adequate for a good game of football.
Congrats on the PS4! At least you can trust yourself when it comes to presents. And it was very generous of you!

That sounds fun. Would love to try it. It's the only major outdoors sport (not involving specialist equipment that I don't have) that I can think of that I haven't ever played.

Oh. Well games are good for entertainment & to pass the time. I just play for a couple of hours a few days, never compulsively like 24/7. LOL

Anway, random question. Which is everyone's favorite Tarantino film out of the ones he's made? Mine's got to be Pulp Fiction, followed closely by Jackie Brown.
Pulp Fiction is easily his best, and probably one of my top overall films as well. I think some think of Reservoir Dogs as in the same league but it's not to me. I like Kill Bill & haven't seen Django Unchained yet.

Don't ask me a question like that. It's like asking who I love more... My mom or my dad. :woot:

I mean... KILL BILL 1&2 are the most thrilling to me... The dialog in DOGS though... But then the amazing ensemble in BASTERDS and FICTION.... The amazing cinematography in DJANGO...

Sarge... YOU'RE TEARING ME APART!!!!! :oldrazz:

Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained are my faves.

How much do regular people play American Football casually like in the park and stuff (not actual organised games)? How many people do you need to make it worth it?

Yeah, like Duke said, 8-10 people. More people are welcome though.

I just got up. Took a shower. And am now on the computer and watching Full House.

I don't need your life story... :oldrazz: :woot:

Well, I hope your time off of school was enjoyable. :yay:

Well...there's still like 10 more days left. So far it's been fine. Just chilling with friends and watching the Star Wars movies again. It's been like 7 years since I've seen them. Planning on finishing the saga with ROTJ later today.

I LOVE Jedi. I have never understood the hate. :yay:

I have a new keyboard with a different spacing/size on the keys and different configuration to get used to. On the plus side it's back-lit and very quiet compared to my old one. And it has a nice set of macro keys too.

I used to love the prequels as a kid. Now they suck aside from ROTS. That was actually good, especially the second half.

As for the OT, A New Hope is great, but Empire is fantastic!

I know many love the PT. For me, if they had been as good as the last 40 min. of ROTS the fandom would be more united.

Yeah, man. Especially that order 66 scene. That was phenomenal!

Lucas did come up with an elegant solution to the Jedi extermination. I do wish they had shown Skywalker assaulting the Jedi Tower from start to finish, including the slaughter of the Padwans. Of course I would have loved to see Anakin use the force choke to kill all the Sand people, as a way to foreshadow all the chokes in the OT.

You wanted to see the kids die onscreen?

The second half, like I said, is really good but there is still cringe-worthy stuff. Hayden's acting along with line delivery and the dancing in the final fight.

I'm not saying that I wanted super graphic violence when Skywalker killed the Padwans. But there did need to be something truly evil shown about his first steps as a Sith. But that's just me.

Oh.

How big was the hype around The Phantom Menace? Were you dissapointed or satisfied once you left the theater?

How's the arm these days?

This light show makes a cool gif

I was born in '76 Maooz. I grew up and kept the SW faith even when it was uncool. So the build up to PM was crazy. Yet once I finally saw it... Look, it's ok to me to want the PT to appeal to a younger audience than I. A way younger audience. But I just expected something more. And Lloyd was just a terrible child actor, I don't care what anyone says. Haley Joel O. was the clear choice for a child Anakin. I also think that Lucas should have at least gotten Spielberg to direct PHANTOM.

I love ROTJ. People complain about the Ewoks and it was probably the beginning of Lucas' descent into madness and while including them I doubt was done with honest artistic intentions, they weren't as bad as you'd expect teddy bears fighting in a serious film to be. And the final scenes with battles on every front - space, on the Endor moon and the Luke/Vader/Emperor showdown were just a great climax to the film.

Oh.

Probably the biggest for any film ever. Hard to replicate that level for the original blockbuster trilogy starting in the 70s coming back so many years later. I saw the trailer about 20 times a day from after it was 1st released. And the Darth Maul stuff & 2 on 1 light saber scene was awesome but nothing could make up for that thing Jar Jar Binks appearing in a film - I couldn't believe when he opened his mouth.. and just kept speaking :csad: and the fact that the Darth Vader kid had such terrible lines and happened to be a horrible awkward actor, even for a child actor. I doubt there will be a film again with that much hype or that much disappointment.

Not to mention the overly annoying JarJar Binks character. UGH!!!. Also, I found it highly improbable, that no matter how much Anakin was oozing with Force powers that he could single handily bring down the Trade Federation fleet.

There's no denying that Lucas did a great job when it came to kids though. I found out about it through cereal boxes and I begged my parents to go watch the movies. Star Wars is essentially what got me into movies.

Yes, JarJar was atrocious. The final was kickass though!
