Once Upon A Time is doing really well also. Fairytales are in right now. Just like superheroes currently.

What's with Hollywood and their new obsession about fairy tales, that everyone wants to rush out the adaptation based on the same story at the same time?

Welcome to hollywood. Same thing happened with vampires. Its just what they do.

We have no clue tone/direction or script will be yet. So the whole spiel about modern retelling could me nothing. Or be more like what sv did. It was a modern retelling of superman mythos, did its own things, and tossed in some comics stuff too.

Ask yourself this. How many times has any channel / guy in charge of a channel let you down to really believe that this will be different then what we have seen so far on the CW ?

Donut we sont bknow how the new pres will be compared to dawn reign on cw. So come on we already know he wants to change things, get more genre shows, more male demos. It just takes time to change. So it will probably be a few seasons to we see all his changes come out. So just cause cw under dawn was just teen soaps for female demos. Is no way to judge the new guy.

Beauty & The Beast (although I guess this can get a pass due to fairy tales being the new in thing right now in Hollywood) But a Sex In The City Prequel & Beauty & The Beast in general. All sounds Dawn like to me. He is not getting any confidence from me with those shows. I don't see how he expects more guys to start watching the CW with these two shows

Do you really call Beauty & The Beast & Sex In The City shows to get more guys watching this channel ?

Sex In The City was a huge hit so of course he is going to try to get a hit off of a "prequel" series. Dawn was more about the rich life style if anything.

But he seems to be already going back on his words in getting more shows that guys would watch

A slightly negative way to think of their approach to it is that Wonderwoman was a modern retelling in a modern world with little basis in the comics, just like todays report about GA - and that from the get go was just awful.

I'm all for retooling the origin from the 40's. But guess what - they did that perfectly with Year One.

Year One is my favorite Green Arrow graphic novel I've read. It's what made me a fan of GA a couple years ago (well aside from the JL cartoon series.)

Let's see there is reports of up to 8 pilots in the works. Yes beauty/beast and the sex prequel was in the works well dawn was still in charge. So really like I said its still early to judge this guy. Of course at the start thhings like sex prequel and crap gossip girl/etc... cw shows will stay since it makes money and hold there ratings. Like I said its going to take more then just one season to change a whole network around. Got to faze in new things faze out other shows.

Beauty and the Beast wasn't an Ostroff project.

Arrow...Well, certainly didn't see that coming. I'm glad it's officially moving forward and I'm still going to give it a chance despite the title. I also wouldn't be surprised if they took away Star City as Ollie's base of operations and made it Seattle instead. Now for cast developments.

So....what does everyone want the costume to look like? Would you throw stones if it was a slightly modified version of Smallvilles GA?

That's exactly how I'd like it to look, I thought Green Arrow was probably the best thing Smallville ever did, the actor and costume update were both spot on IMO.

As shocked as I am to say this I have to agree with you. GA on Smallville was done well. At first I had a problem because they were making him more like Bruce Wayne but really what they did was just took the friendship Batman and Superman had and gave it to GA instead. That was really the only change in him. Although I like the fact that there was no love lost in the comics between Superman and Green Arrow. I liked the fact that they respected one another but were not friends. That's how they started out on Smallville but some how he morphed into a Batman/Green Arrow hybrid which is not bad but not great either. I thought they should not have had him marry Chloe I mean they already did drop hints of a GA/BC relationship and should have followed up on it and he did over stay his welcome. But for an elseworld version he was enjoyable.

I'm assuming you're referring to when they debuted him in Season 6? Then, I agree.

It was Seasons 8,9 and 10 when they completely ruined his character.

I'm still surprised they let him avoid prison for murdering Lex.

He was better off a special guest star like in season 6 and 7. When he became a series regular, he took screen time away from Clark and his stories weren't even that interesting IMO. I didn't care for a self pitying GA at the beginning of Season 9 or the asinine way Chloe got him out of his "funk" (i.e. Roulette).

I agree that he was better when he was only a guest star. I think what killed GA was Chloe and the fact they started to make him to much like Batman. Also what really hurt him is that he "killed" Lex. However I still enjoyed him and the show for what it was but felt the "Superman" was a big FU to anyone who watch the show for that moment.

Well he did actually kill the real Lex Luthor.

The one in the SV finale was a clone comprised of the best parts of the failed clones. Franken-Lex.

he took screen time away from Clark

I didn't mind that. They screwed up Clark seasons ago. It was really hard to root for his character, which made Green Arrow really stand out in S6 as better.

It just sucks they had to wreck GA's character when he became a regular in an attempt to forcefully elevate Clark.

No the one in SV finale was the real Lex who had multiple transplants from the failed clones.

The only part from the real Lex that was used was the brain. Everything else was from the clones and the heart was from Alt. Lionel. So I guess you could say the clone Lex was the real one since he retained his brain.

What? It never said that.

There was nothing from the real Lex in that clone. The real Lex is ashes. His brain is ashes. He got blown to bits in that truck explosion.

The finale said the L-0 was made from the best parts of the failed clones. He had all of Lex's memories for the same reason the other clones did. The memories were transferred in the cloning process.

After the explosion in "Requiem," there would be nothing of the real Lex Luthor to use.

The only reason why Clark was ruined was because that show should have became Superman 3 seasons before it ended and then the big Superman moment at the end was just wrong.

GA despite all he has done was the one bright spot of the show after a while. That's one of the main reasons I find it hard to find to much fault in him.

Really? I thought the brain was from the real Lex. It's stupid comic book science, but still...
