Excuse me, but I too have been following news of this movie and this is the first substantial rumour I've heard about GotG being in IRON MAN 3. You may be confused. There were lots of rumours of Iron Man being in Guardians of the Galaxy, but vice versa? Even if you happened to have heard the Star Lord making a cameo in Iron Man 3 rumour years ago, you don't need to act so smug about it. Complete news to me. And complete news to Cherokee. If 2 people who are following the production of this film religiously missed something, then most casual fans probably missed it. So posting it here is completely justified.

I wasn't being smug about it until cherokee got all pissy about it. You guys must've missed the POP! toy spoiler about the Iron Man 3 space suit or whatever it was called. That was a couple of weeks ago. We knew there was going to be something GOTG related in Iron Man 3. Sorry if you guys missed it.

What are you talking about? This is the first (quasi) confirmation that Star-Lord appears in IM3. Everything else was just rumor. The only thing known up until now was that IM3 *might* have a reference to GotG.

Well this is a rumor as well. I'm just saying, there's really nothing new about this other than seeing Star Lord's face (which granted, is a big deal) but we knew Iron Man was going to end with something GOTG related. Jesus Christ.

Well it would be nice if there was an actual source to the rumor other than "I heard it from a guy" either way, it's really nothing new. Unless you thought Iron Man was just going into space for fun most of us already assumed Tony would intercept some sort of transmission. If you don't believe me go back to the discussion when the Deep Space Armor rumor dropped. Again, we already knew this.
