i guess its none of my business if you guys download guardians issues illegally but i would suggest you support marvel in terms of TPBs and your LCS as well in terms of TPBs and back issues.

I would love to see the 90s guardians come as a TPB but that wont happen unless people buy volumes 1 and 2 of tomorrow's avengers (and yes i purchased them the first day they came out and thats even though i own the original run....i tend to buy anything with the original guardians which so far has been affordable but that will change once the movie hits especially if original guardians are in it beyond Yondu)

The Korvac saga is in Volume 2. Volume 1 basically contains the guardian's origin and their marvel presents run

But if, as according to Gunn, "our primary villain will be no-one's *****", then it could be Korvac. He definitely would fit the mould and wouldn't be anyone's henchman. He also would fit in with the Collector, if he is in the movie.

And Lee Pace looks physically enough like Michael Korvac. Plus Korvac is a more budget-friendly character (since he doesn't require massive amounts of CGI the whole time unless he's flickering with energy). He also allows for someone like Pace to show his face all the time without being in heavy make up.

I'd say the top three horses in this race are Korvac, Thanos, and Magus. I'd still give the best odds to Thanos, Korvac a close second, and Magus a fairly close third. Everybody else is a dark horse, just because.

You don't have to worry about me spending money on official stuff. I spent over $150 to get the original 90's run and another $200 to get the Korvac related Avengers comics (#167-177) and stuff like Thor Annual #6, etc. Although I guess the money isn't going directly to Marvel in that case.

Also, I don't disagree with Pace looking like Korvac, but he just as easily looks like Warlock to me as well.

Anyone playing Korvac would have to bulk up eventually. But in the A:EMH version, he wasn't quite as muscular. But in his final state, he should almost look like Doc Savage Man of Bronze.

Wow, everyone's been so focused on Thanos that I never considered Kang. Figured him more for Avengers someday but I wouldn't sneer if he was the big bad in GotG. Kang is awesome.

Korvac would be pretty sweet too though. Guess they'll just have to make more movies!

Mayimbe never said the Controller would be the main villain. He said he'd be Thanos' main henchman, but one of the movie's villains.

No it doesn't, unless you assume that. Just because he's Thanos' main henchman doesn't mean he'll be the movie's main villain.

With casting currently underway on Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, we it got on good authority that Basil Sandhurst aka THE CONTROLLER will be one of the bad guys in the upcoming film.

I am all for Kang. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if we get him. Considering he is starting to have a role in the comics, and time travel is coming into things.
