Horror Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein

Knowing how Netflix is running sh**, GDT fought a lot to get that theatrical run.

I'm hoping it's a longer and more expanded run than Glass Onion.

If this doesn't get a physical release I will storm Netflix's headquarters.

Wish they were salivating over Mank and The Killer. :o

When was the last time a Netflix movie had a physical release? The last one I remember was El Camino and that was over four years ago.

Del Toro's Pinnochio released last year on Criterion. It seems Roma, Uncut Gems, Marriage Story, and The Power of the Dog were Criterion releases as well.

Oh god, we are getting a Criterion release of Emilia Perez.

I’ve got a running wishlist of titles I want to enter the collection (where’s Boogie Nights? Where’s Memento? Why wasn’t Sunset Boulevard in the collection ages ago?). If Emilia Perez beats any of them there, I’m burning down Criterion HQ. I’m breaking into the Criterion Closet with a hammer.

Consider this though: if they get any trans or Mexican critic at all to write the essay for it, you might get the first Criterion essay begging you not to buy this movie. :o

Wait Uncut Gems was a Netflix movie? I thought that was A24.

Yeah, Uncut Gems was not a Netflix original.

Okay, I see where it is, Netflix grabbed the international distribution rights for Uncut Gems.
