Horror Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein

Variety is gunning for Del Toro too? Damn.

Haters stay pressed.

Reading some of the reviews of the movie, it's astounding how some of these people have never read the book.

From what I’ve read the Creature actions are white-washed. He doesn’t frame Victor’s servantmaid and doesn’t kill his younger brother. He never attacks first.

That's an interesting choice to make. I feel like doing that kinda undermines some of the themes, but guess we'll see how it plays out.

This movie closes the cycle. If you look at the lineage, from “Cronos” to “The Devil’s Backbone,” to “Pan’s Labyrinth” to “Crimson Peak” to this, this is an evolution of a certain type of aesthetic, and a certain type of rhythm, and a certain type of empathy. I feel like I need a change […] You never know, the day after tomorrow, I may want to do Jekyll & Hyde, or whatever. But right now, my desire is to try and do something very different.

A Guillermo del Toro romantic comedy! I’m ready!

Wild that we are getting two Frankenstein adaptations so close together and they both look awesome
