I thought the first one was ok, but I didn't bother picking up the second one. Since this is the third part of the story, I won't bother with it.

I would love to play this but by the time I get a 360 and this game it will be when the next generation systems are out because I still haven't played Halo 2.

Not getting it. Only played the second one but wasn't really that much fun. For the hype and such surrounding this game, i sure find the graphics to be not so amazing. If they were like in that ad with the two kids at night where it cuts to a war zone in the desert, i'd be all over this.

No in game graphics are like that period and won't be for some time...

I've seen some graphics that good somewhere, i know they can do it, thing is they don't want to waste their time and settle for excellent when they can get passable, specially if it saves money. Pretty much it's all in the hue/visuals.

No, it is all in the polygon count. BioShock is an amazing game but it gets on my nerves to see pipes and things that should be circular having a rectangular look to them because it takes longer to create circles. Halo's graphics look great and I can almost guarantee it will be the best game of '07 by nearly all the gaming mags.

Im a movie guy, so of course i'm picky on the graphics of these next-gen games. Specially when the developer keeps talking about how groundbreaking it is. Like they did with Forza 2, which is barely as step up graphics wise. They guys doing the CG on the Gran Turismo games really know how to make next-gen cars.

I am a huge movie buff but I know gaming cannot be up to par with movies. We have come a long way in gaming graphics and it will do nothing but continually get better. They sell the consoles at a loss anyways so they need these big games to help them out. Gaming isn't so much graphics as it is gameplay and story. I have played my fair share of beautiful games that lasted 6 hours and had a crappy story and characters. Halo 2 wasn't the greatest game of its day but I think Halo 3 will be. Its replayability is one of the highest in the markets right now.

Speaking of good graphics, I will agree with you about wanting great movie like graphics. I love game cutscenes that look amazing but those are becoming few and far between sadly. I would die if they had MC and the covenant fighting in a glorious intro or cut scene but alas I will have to wait for the movie.

actually Resistance is a terrific game, just lacking in the graphics department compared to GoW...also, Resistance's multiplayer is incredible and definitely beats the pants off GoW. But GoW is a great game, no doubt.
