When beast says "hard to beileve this use to fit" i got a tad confused. For one beast was still a human in x2 on tv in the bar scene. And i didnt think there was a huge time differance between x2 and x3. And it seemed that no one knew beast except storm and xavier. So if anyone could clarify when beast was with the x-men in the movies please let me know. Oh and there may already be a thread on this but i couldnt find it. So close/delete if needed mods. And if that is the case please pm your response.

this flaw isn't a flaw really though. We all have old clothes we used to fit.

i think that was put just to remind viewers he used to be an x-man, he is obviously older now. we all have things dont fit anymore lol sadly

Shoes being a good example. I've got plenty of hats and underwear too that don't fit as well as they used to.

So he was with the x-men before he was appointed to the cabnit by the president? cause i dont think there was even a year between x2 and x3. And even if he did join the xmen right before joining the cabnit....wait nevermind i guess he likes to eat.

The X2 cameo was just a nod to fans, it had no effect on X3.

In X3, he was one of Xavier's first students, and has already graduated and moved on. 'Hard to beileve this use to fit' was a line to show he use to be part of the team.

In the comics, Beast wasnt always a furry blue person, he was just a big guy.

Flawed explained. Close thread.

What was that thing in the comics called where they could make themselves look human? forgot. Think nightcrawler used it sometimes. Anyways, maybe he used that.

Why would he? It would still be inconsistent.

Dear god people, the cameo in X2 NEVER happened, the writers didn't keep it. Singer and his team but it in as a nod to fans.

Gambit's name was on Styker's list, and I think Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's names were too. Yet when we see them, I doubt they will mention anything with Stryker.

It's not a flaw. He used to be an X-Men member, then he moved on. He just had big hands, big feet, a muscular body and agility before.

We saw him in this human form in X2. During the point where Cerebro is targeting mutants, he was going to be shown turning blue and furry, but they didn't have the budget.

Two years have passed since X2. In that time, we got a new president and Beast joined the government.

Simple really. No flaw. Just needs some common sense. Which is sadly not very common on here. Sometimes it's like the idiot bus has just pulled up in these threads.

yes, caused by Singer.
No. It was set up by Singer a certain way. Kinberg and Penn changed it to accomdate their story. They didn't even need to make Beast an old part of the team in the story. It doesn't make much of a difference in the actual story. They could have just said they worked with him before and the plot would still hold up. It was just a change for the sake of change.

Actually X maniac, it is most likely somewhere between 4 to 8 months since X2....

Thats what Simon or Zak said once.

Were still arguing this? Close thread I say!

The problem here is that you've completely made up your own assumptions on here without any proof. There's no scene set up to assume that this Beast was an X-Men in human form. You can make your speculations all you want but it isn't any more fact than anyone else's theories. Simply, if it doesn't actually happen in the films, then you don't exactly know the writers' intentions.

Well, Bryan Singer clearly said that during Cerebro's targeting of mutants, he intended to show three particular shots - Beast going blue and furry, Gambit, and Marrow shooting bones...

To me, that gives a neat enough answer. Simon Kinberg, co-writer of the movie, said that they were going with the idea that Beast had experimented on himself (as he did in the comics). Either way, the intention of Bryan Singer or of the writers of X3 was that a transformation had taken place since we saw Hank on that TV screen.

Bryan Singer said it. Simon Kinberg said it. Whichever theory you go for, both state that a transformation occurred since the TV scene in X2.

So, those are the facts. Not assumptions. I'm not sure why you choose to argue, but you aren't doing a very good job of it.

Simon or Zak, one of them, said that his appearance in X2 was just a cameo, and had no effect on X3.

They were going to have a line about him turning himself blue, but I guess it was cut.

His cameo in X2 doesn't mean anything.

Yes, one of them said it was just a cameo, but it became clear that people were obsessing over it as a detail that could not be ignored... Bryan did mention it, and Simon later mentioned the experimentation as well, so that does cover the idea that he somehow became blue later. Which I am fine with. If others aren't, then that's up to them.
