Currently 96% on Rottentomatoes...

"... when the film finally ends, when those last few images play out, it is more than satisfying. It is triumphant."

We might just have the best-reviewed event film of the summer right here.

I found it interesting that the two negatives on RT are from the exact same blog. Caused a stir over on RT.

It's with it.

Not necessarily. I suspect this is probably only a North American situation.

I handled a Harry Potter print personally. It had the Happy Feet 2 teaser trailer on the front of it.

I'm sure there will be a few more negatives. Critics who've never liked the Potter franchise, those who will be annoyed at having to be familiar with all the characters in this film, fundamentalist Christian critics who hate witches (I kid, I kid!), etc.
Still, I'm thinking at this point that 90% positive might be possible. We'll see.

that negative blog is a hack site...no idea why RT even used them.

It's not attached to the print, it comes with it. So technically a theater manager can not show it but the trailers for Sherlock and TDKR were sent out with Potter but as I said, it isn't physically attached.

As for outside of the US, I have no idea.

RT has Andrew L's review as Rotten, but I'd say it's fresh... Louise Keller on the other hand...

While I agree with them about the predictable fanboys attack them. I do however question their reviews. What makes a movie rotten? What does a rotten movie mean? Is it a thumbs down, don't go see it and waste your money? If this is the cast then I highly question their reviews.

"As far as spectacle goes, this final chapter of the Harry Potter franchise has plenty of it with showy special effects and a rich and alluring density that once again overshadows the narrative."

It is those words that make me question her critique. When they indeed give Transformers favorable reviews for their special effects, but we all know how the story of Transformers is. Deathly Hallows pt 2 has more story over all 3 Transformers combined. At least that's my opinion. It's dumb for the fanboys to verbally attack and flame them. But I do agree with questioning of their critiquing of this film.

Rotten or not. Their reviews make no sense.

yeah it's starting to shape up that way

I wanted to see it at midnight but every screening in my area is sold out - guess I'll wait until Friday

One of the greatest ways to get traffic to a site - post an unpopular opinion on a huge franchise

I'll be seeing this in a few hours, will post my review soon.

And this is why Rotten Tomatoes should be more discerning with the reviews they allow. If the review is contradicting itself then it is poorly written and not well thought out and doesn't deserve to be counted. Just my IMO.

Very excited - got two tix for Fri night through Groupon at a grand total of $8.00! So far, I've only seen two summer movies. One surprised me (Thor) and one disappointed me (Transformers). I'm betting this one's gonna meet/exceed my already-high expectations.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 is now Ceritified Fresh at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Damn this is getting amazing reviews. And the only 2 negative reviews are from the same site that's not even that negative!

This is gonna rock.

Apparently that new commercial with all of them falling and stopping short of the floor has garnered a following due to a quick glimpse of Hermione's cleavage during that scene. :o

so uh, do you...um, know what number tv spot that would be?

I got my tickets for Friday. I plan to show up ridiculously early and piss off my dad and brother and friend seeing it with me. I'm nefarious for showing up early to movies like this alot.

The one entitled "Brilliant."

You can see her cleavage better in the clip where they are on the bank beside the lake after they've jumped off the dragon.
