God you guys are pervs....

Oh please. Us oogling Emma Watson's cleavage is hardly the most perverse thing to ever happen on the Hype. I'm sure Catman did much worse things while he was here.

I already mentioned the tv spot's label. You'll find it.

Apparently that new commercial with all of them falling and stopping short of the floor has garnered a following due to a quick glimpse of Hermione's cleavage during that scene. :o

Ohhhhhhhhhh:wow: :hrt:

It's when we STOP being pervs is when you women should start to worry.

Haha, that is funny, younger fan(boys) are going crazy. But "oh" indeed:awesome::hrt:

My review.

I'll be upfront and say I've never been the biggest fan of the Potter series, not in the sense that I've hated the movies, it's just for one reason or another the school of wizardry thing has never really been appealing to me. I've often thought it might be because I was a bit older than the target demographic when the first film came out but I know people my age who absolutely adore the series, just one of those things I guess. That said the thing I've always admired about the Potter series is its consistency and it's ability to build toward more mature themes, mirroring the maturing of the characters, and not being afraid to venture into darker territory. Credit has to go to Warner Bros for putting the right people in front of and behind the camera who clearly care about the series and for allowing the series to develop and expand naturally.

There's really not much one can really say about Deathly Hallows 2 other than it's truly the end, everything has been building toward this moment. Even though every film in the series has been Harry's this one truly feels like this is his and his alone. There may be complaints of characters getting short changed a bit (particularly Ron and Hermione), but this movie isn't in any real need of new character arcs, after 7 movies we know what the stakes are, we know what's going to happen, there really isn't anything left to do other than go out with a bang, and that's what this does, Harry vs Voldemort, that's what we've come to see, that's exactly what we get, the creative team throws everything at us making the experience all that more tense and enthralling.

Not being the Potter diehard by any means sort of made the first 20 mins a bit of a slug given I was trying to remember things from previous films (some of which I'd only seen once) but after that the remainder of the film is a battle for Hogwarts, a battle that invokes imagery not too dissimilar to shots of London after The Blitz. In fact there's very much a war story aspect to the film, the desaturated colour and bleakness, the overtaking of Hogwarts, all give off a word war 2 movie vibe, it's not until the very end of the film that colour and light is restored to reflect the events of the ending. I'm not sure where the final battles rank in terms of cinema, but it's definitely up their with the best of them, the effects are awesome and the action is gripping.

As for it's three leads, Daniel, Emma and Rupert have been the glue which held the franchise together from the start, it's been great watching them together on screen all these years, seeing them mature and become better actors as the films have progressed, again they don't put a foot wrong. Emma and Rupert get a little short changed here not having much to do but still give their best, Daniel is strong and really gives it his all clearly wanting to go out on a high. Kudos to Alan Rickman, he's probably been my favourite established actor of the whole series, he brings a warmth to Snape that we've never seen, many of the other actors from the previous films only get short snippets of dialog but again everyone brings their A-game. I guess my only quibble with the film is the epilogue which I felt was unneeded (and inadvertently hilarious to look at I might add).

So after 10 years and 8 movies it's finally come to an end. A series that could easily have fallen off the tracks somehow, and against the odds really, produced a series of 8 well crafted films. There's no long running movies series that even comes close to matching the quality and care that the Potter series has been given, Star Trek, Bond, Batman, all have screwed up somewhere along the line, not Potter, it's been the single most consistent series ever. What awaits it's young leads who have grown up in front of our eyes is yet to be determined, they've at least avoided the whole child actor syndrome, now young adults hopefully they go on to bigger and better things in coming years, one things for certain there will be millions of people who will forever be grateful to them and all others involved over the last 10 years for one of the best movies series ever. Whilst I may not have been as endeared by the series as some, I've always appreciated it for its quality and consistency and for the legacy it will leave, the cinematic world will never feel quite the same ever again.

Love your review but I just have to ask...

How was the scene when Harry has to leave Hermione and Ron to go die because he knows he has to? They changed this from the book because he never said goodbye to them but in the movie he does. I just like to know how it played out because the snippet in the trailer was heart-breaking when Hermione hugged Harry.

Just wait for the movie! It comes out in two days!!!

She's 21, she's way too old for Catman.
