I'm curious, does anyone else want to see an animated DTV of 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard?'

So from geek to geek how long should it be when I show up to the theater at an 8:10 showing on Friday? At least an hour? I was thinking more perhaps.

As your attorney I advise you to show up an hour and a half earlier, maybe 2 hours.

I would go 90-120 minutes before a big movie like this. If you go an hour or less before the movie starts, you are going to get a crappy seat on the sides or up front.

Also...I hate how people show up 10 minutes minutes before the movie starts on opening day and they stand down at the bottom looking for a seat up top. The walk up and down the aisles asking people if that seat is taken if someone is out getting snacks or in the bathroom. That's what you get for coming late:cmad: Then you see them sadly walk to the front with their friends or their g/f HAHAHAHAHA.

Armond White has finally voiced his opinion, and I'm sure you all know what he's going to say. As many of his reviews its absolutely hilarious to read. Also do not read his review if you do not know what happens in the book because it has a spoiler, that D-bag.

on the opposite side of the spectrum...

We have Richard Roeper's review, he gives it an A+...

"This is a masterful and worthy final chapter in one of the best franchises ever put to film."

I've always enjoyed hearing what he has to say ever since Ebert and Roeper introduced me to him.

I feel bad for the readers of the New York Press that are subjected to White's reviews.

Not that I'm Surprised Armond hates everything that's good.

He must be miserable as it doesn't seem he can enjoy anything. If he would remove the stick from his ass and just enjoy a movie once in a while he might find it wont hurt him.

Out of curiosity, what terribad movies has this Armond defended?

Transformers 2, thats all that needs to be said...

he said some pretentious thing about how that movie has great composition, and that if he had the actual reel he could show you frame by frame why.

Maybe the only reason he's still there is because he gets so much traffic from people claiming what an idiot he is.

I also hate when a movie is obviously sold out and people still need to leave an open seat between them and the people next to them. Some theaters I go to have had a manager there to make sure all of the seats are filled so the empty seats that are left are the closest to the aisle - that way anyone who comes in late can just take those seats instead of stepping over everyone to take the empty seats.

As far as how early to show up, I have tickets for a 1:10 show on Saturday and was told to get there at 90 minutes to 2 hours early. :wow:

We're going to watch DH1 on the iPad while we wait.

Wow, Peter Travers is actually calling for a Best Picture nomination. :wow:

Got the day off so I can go see it... t minus 2 hours...!! :cwink:

Forget his DH2 review...did Armand White actually refer to Lord of the Rings as "unintelligible fantasy epics"?

Armand White is nothing but a high profile, paid troll.

I like Ebert's last paragraph. I think most people probably want that.
