Just where do you go from here? (as far as the main actors)

Dan is doing broadway and making (another) name for himself. I know Emma is going to college, so she doesn't plan on acting anymore? I do hear that Rupert is still continuing work in films.

Most young actors in this type of position just sort of peak from there. Never saw much of Mark Hamill or Hayden after Star Wars.

I'm confused are you saying that Ron is less of a friend to Harry and that Hermione is more important to him? Or am I reading it wrong?
No. In the books and movies all three are conveyed as best friends to each other. But in the books Harry and Ron seemed the very best of friends. In the movies it started that way but in the end I would think Harry and Hermoine were very best friends. Ron is a best friend too, and they are both equally important to Harry. Does that make sense?

Actually I was referring to Voldy's and Draco's "not-a-hug". :awesome:

But you are so right about the Harry/Hermione moment. She knows he knows she knows, and it breaks her heart.

Oh that one, I had thought you meant actual genuine hugs in the movie not the LOL between Voldemort and Draco.

Indeed, I've always loved the connection between Harry/Hermione. They've always known what the other was thinking without even saying any words. This is a perfect example.

Yes I agree Hermione and Ron are extremely important to Harry. But I also agree that it seems Harry is somewhat closer to Hermione in the movies; but I think that's because Dan and Emma have so much chemistry together. So that shines through a lot.

Where is Emma going for college?

Might want to visit if nearby ;)

Yeah, and that is one reason why I think I will always prefer the films. At times, even in the later books, Harry had tendency to be a tad dismissive of Hermione. Not in the films. I don't think there are any two people closer in the films.

Wonder if anyone I know is going to Brown.

Good luck to her then! Have to respect the direction she chose to take.

Emma also said during an interview on Regis and Kelly this week that she originally wasn't sure if she wanted to continue acting, but after doing her first post-Potter film she realized she really loved it, so she's going to continue acting.

She also said she'd love to try stage work like Dan, especially Shakespeare. Which honestly, I think she could do.

One thing I prefer in the films is Harry/Ginny. They give us a few moments with them and moved on. The problem with JK is not that she spent too much time on Harry/Ginny but the fact that her teen romance writing is just very mediocre.

There is a God. :woot:

Dan, Emma, Rupert will always been known as the trio. They're actors and its unfair to say that they can't distinguish themselves from their major roles but its the truth. Harry Potter is so big so that's what has happened.

But all three are talented enough to do well for the rest of their careers, whatever they might be. Nothing will ever be as big as Potter but that's okay they'll still do great work.

O

Yeah. Being a Harry/Hermoine fan I love it though! :D

I think I will always think the books are better, but love the movies to bits anyways. But yeah the Harry/Hermoine relationship in the movies is a good reason to enjoy the films more. It just works so well IMO!

Fantastic, I've found another Harmony person on this board. I love Steve Kloves and David Yates for giving us all those moments in the movies. Especially, Dan/Emma being so great together with their chemistry.

I didn't realize how many of the kids were doing theater: Dan, of course, but also Matthew Lewis just did a play recently, and the boy who played Dudley did a play with Fiona Shaw awhile back. That's pretty cool.

I've seen both Harry and Voldemort on Broadway. I saw Dan in How to Succeed, and Ralph Fiennes in Hamlet.

I really do like the books, and love PoA, but my first taste of Harry was the first film. It was Dan, Emma and Maggie Smith that made me fall in love with the world. So, I am a little bias in that regard. :yay:

The dance scene in DH1. :hrt:

It is always going to be Harry and Hermione for me.

We all know the truth. There is no way Hermione and Ron could ever have a happy marriage. You can't argue to the death over which cereal to feed your kids and co-exist in any sort of happiness. :awesome:

I've thought Ron and Hermione sounded like an old married couple since the second book. I always knew they were destined for each other.

Perhaps it is my preference for healthy relationships, but I always thought they were toxic for each other. Maybe that is why I can't get into Twilight. On second thought nah, that is probably just because they are pretty terrible.

Haha, that's cool.

I think it's a cultural thing. In America the biggest accolade for an actor is to win an Oscar for being on the silver screen. In England it's getting knighted for theater work, especially Shakespeare.

Indeed. I mean in Part 2 Hermione just had this monumental first kiss with Ron, supposedly the man she loves. Then a few moments later she tells Harry she wants to go die with him, right in front of Ron too. Steve Kloves you sneaky man. :cwink:

I completely accept the pairings JK Rowling has made in the books but I still don't like them. I mean whenever I see moives 6 and 7 I just have no emotional attachment whenever Ron/Hermoine or Harry/Ginny have a scene. Can't help it but there's just nothing there for me.

When I watched HP6 with my girlfriend she always laughed when she turned to me to see my reaction to a Harry/Ginny scene... I would always be rolling my eyes.

There are no words to describe how I feel right now. I'm ecstatic and heartbroken all at the same time. The movie was so beautiful. It was an almost flawless finale to a book/film series that has been part of my life since I was 8 years old. I read the first book shortly after it came out and have been hooked ever since. I honestly don't know what life's going to be like without a new HP book/movie to look forward to.

All I can say is this: Thank you JK Rowling

I love how the scene with Voldy losing his mind trying to take the barrier down is right after the kiss. My thoughts exactly. :o

The only real problem I ever had with the pairings is they seemed decided well beforehand, without much thought for what the characters would become. Harry had to be with Ginny so he could be a "real" member of the family.

I was thrilled that my favorite Ron line from the book made it into the movie: "IF WE DIE SAVING THEM I'LL KILL YOU, HARRY!!" :funny:

I remember when I first read the book I could literally hear Rupert saying that.

I could barely make it out. The crowd was to busy laughing over it. The same happened with Seamus's line about to Ron when Ginny showed up.
