Harry using Original Green Goblin Costume?

Harry doesn't need to wear the Goblin suit because he is not trying to be the Green Goblin. It's as simple as that, people. His goal is to avenge his father by destroying Peter/Spider-man, and his father's technology is providing him with the means to do so.

That's it. He won't be parading around attacking innocent people. Harry is going after Peter. The only reason he's being called the New Goblin is simply because of the similarities in technology between him and Norman, and I'm willing to bet that he's given that name by the Bugle. Even in the footage we've seen with Harry talking to "Norman". We see Normal telling him, "Avenge me." He doesn't go, "BECOME THE GREEN GOBLIN AS I DID!" Yes, this is different from the comics, but that doesn't mean it's bad.

Harry is not wearing his father's suit. And the only reason we have toys of the original Goblin is because they are creating an extensive villain lineup, with Kraven, Rhino, and others. So everyone needs to chill on this.

So you want him to become the second Green Goblin. That's cool. That's what happened in the comics. Understood. But it's not completely necessary for him to wear the old suit, he only used it to haunt Peter in the comics. The chemicals made him go nuts and try to kill Spidey but then he realized that he had to do the right thing, but it killed him anyway. He died trying to save Peter. That's whats bound to happen in this one. I mean, sure the New Goblin suit is pretty lame but is it that important to bring back the ghost ?

it does make sense for him not wear the GG costume. I mean everybody will be reffering to him as "Harry" so he SHOULDN'T be the goblin if thats the case. you have to understand that if harry is just after peter to kill him then be done then theres no reason for him to be the Green Goblin unless he is going to continue the goblin legacy for years to come and he DOESN'T.

Sandman doesn't have to wear the green stripped shirt, Doc Ock didn't have to wear a trenchcoat and goggles/glasses...he wore it because that the original Goblin is because they are creating an extensive villain lineup, with Kraven, Rhino, and others. So everyone needs to chill on thisis what he wore in the comic...END OF STORY. Harry is the Green Goblin 2 and dawned his father's gear to avenge his death. How is this different? Harry went after Peter in the comics...how is this story different? If someone gets in Harry's way in the movie while he is after Peter...he will mow them down like in the comics. "New Goblin" isn't a bad name. it is what jjj will call him but "Harry" is what peter will call him. harry is really a "New Goblin" because he is wearing a different suit which means it's harrys son avenging his fathers death but he's a "New Goblin". though harry isn't really any kind of goblin, he is just gearing up in a new suit to kill peter.

I think you need to watch the first spiderman movie and you will see GG talking to spiderman about how much they can accomplish together. GG is crazy he wants to do whatever pleases him. So your telling us Harry is just like his father. I don't think so!

Just to make it clear, I'm not attacking you or anything, I just have differing opinions and I like to debate, I don't have anything personal with anyone I disagree with.

That said, when you say Harry isn't a Goblin, then Harry in the movies has been changed drastically from his original self. Harry was a goblin for some 20 years. Saying Harry isn't going to the be the Goblin in the movie is like saying it's okay to change the Joker's look in the Batman movie because "he's not going to be the Joker, he's going to be Clownman in this movie."

I suppose if you like that that's okay, but I don't like it when character's are changed like that.

Harry hasn't taken the formula yet so quit making assumptions about how he is going to act. The formula made his dad crazy...who is to say 3 months before the film it will have different affects? We don't know if Harry will attack someone else....we just know he wants to kill his best friend because he sees his dead dad in his mind...that is pretty crazy to me. HEY! The one and only one thing I have only complained about in all 3 Spider-Man movies is New Goblin Night Surfing Angry Harry. What did you feel at the end of SM2 when Harry found his father's room? The goblin mask staring at his face? The last thing I thought was that he would outfit a snowboarder with a rocket pack. Sam has been 95% faithful to the comics with every single character and his continuity is seamless between movies. This set of 3 movies will be my most favorite trilogy...you have no idea how much I watch SM1 and SM2 each month. That sad...how hard would it have been to stay faithful with Harry? I have no gripes for Sandman(ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! THC will rock). Venom looks amazing...a great translation from page to film. But Harry, Harry has been reinvented from the ground up. It's understandable that Sam would want to distinguish Harry from Norman...I know that. But why is it so hard to comprehend why they couldn't have incorporated goblinesque features into his costume? Hell, his glider isn't even any where close to the cartoon or comic. Why didn't they give Harry exploding snowballs instead of pumpkin bombs??? That said, Harry shouldn't even be called a 'goblin' because he has nothing to do with a goblin. I will still love this movie unless Arnold, Jean Claude, and Stalone jump in and beat up Spider-Man. But it doesn't make any sense that Harry has the knowledge or time to rebuild everything between SM2 and SM3. Like I said, as long as they explain how he got the suit and snowboard as well as not call him _____ Goblin anything, I will be happy concerning Harry.

Sorry, that and Sandman being Uncle Ben's killer. Those two things urked me a little.

i would love for harry to wear a goblin outfit in the final battle, that would look killer with harry in a goth type goblin outfit duking it out with venom, two monsters rampaging each other in a construction site. but i highly doubt we'll get that, even harry wearing his dads suit seems doubtful to me, as much as i'd like to see the suit redesigned and looking cooler, i don't think it will happen. but atleast venom is being done right and in true comic book fashion so i'll let not having a new true goblin in this movie slide, as much as i wanted this movie to be just peter facing off against harry as a gothic green or hobgoblin.

Harry isn't trying to continue the Goblin legacy, he has one agenda, to kill Peter. Why would Harry want to don the costume of someone who attempted to kill a bunch of school children and the woman he loves (I think). His company makes military hardware, the suit makes sense.

Yes it's different from the comics, but everything has been changed slightly. Get over it. Christ.
