The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two-Face Casting Thread

it's been a while since I've seen Clive Owen mentioned for Dent. thoughts?

Liev would be better, so would Jake, but i wouldn't be complaining if Clive got the role.

i could see him playing Blaskmask too.

I don't want Clive Owen since he's Dwight in Sin City.

Matthew McConaughey as Harvey Dent(All American D.A.)

Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Penquin

Paul Bettany as the Joker (hopefully he would have some type of make-up to give him the classic facial structure as the the Joker. Like a long nose and chin. McKellen wore a fake nose for Gandalf).

Amy Adams(Junebug) Harleen Quinzel

Mike Starr(Dumb and Dumber) Detective Bullock

Sorry - got pissed off in another thread prior and I carried that over here......

Matthew still would be pretty good, but Nolan wouldn't go for him anyway, so no need to worry....

I recently thought of Kyle Chandler as Dent. He was in Kong and a show from the 90's, Early Edition.
GOOD CALL! Never even crossed my mind.

Hello!! Haven't you seen Bloodrayne? He was awesome in that.

P.S. Yes, in case you couldn't tell, I was using intense sarcasm right there.
I don't know if anyone could tell because I dont think anyone actually saw that movie.:D

How about Rob Schneider of Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigolo fame as Two Face?

In an attempt to make a fresh suggestion, how about Brendan Fraser? He kinda looks the part, and might be able to act it well enough. He played a DA in Crash... but, seeing as he'll soon be acting in a movie called Singularity, maybe he's not a good choice for Two-Face. ;)

Fraser looks the part as DA but not as Two-Face side I'm not sure he can play.

actually I really, really like the suggestion. I always like Fraser, however I am not sure he can be psyco enough for the Two Face. I like it a lot more than other suggestions I have heard - like Lucas.

Gyllenhaal is wrong for Two-Face.

But he's perfect for The Creeper.

Jake as Harvey Dent has grown on me to the point where I think he could actually do a great job as Dent. However, I would still be very upset if he got cast simply because as good as he could do, Schrieber could still do better. I dont want Jake to get the role simply because I really, really want Schrieber. I just think not casting him will be a huge missed opportunity and i'll be very dissapointed.

My thoughts to a T. I have and will defend Gyllenhaal because I like him as an actor and believe he could and would do a fantastic job as Dent. However, Schrieber was born to be Harvey Dent.

I'd be totally cool with Gyllenhaal ending up as Roman Sionis/Black Mask. I'm hoping that it's who he's actually playing and that people are just confused and that's why everyone thinks he's Dent. They've described Black Mask as a mirror image of Bruce, and who better to play mirror Bruce than someone who almost played him?

Black Mask still isn't a given for BB2. The only characters we know, who are absolutes for the sequel, are Joker and Harvey Dent.

Brendan Fraser is a good suggestion. He's a very good actor whose shown the versatility to where I think he'd really shine as both Harvey Dent and as Two-Face. And he's a big, tall muscular guy, so you could see why the Gotham press would call him "Apollo". Too bad he probably won't get considered at this point.

Yeah, I like the Brendan Fraser suggestion as well. He mostly has been doing stupid comedies, but as Crash proves, he really is a great serious actor. That being said, I'd still prefer Schreiber.

His performance in Crash is something I enjoyed aswell. Gyllenhaal and Schrieber, are the only two actors in the lead for Dent. So why not Fraser? Though I'd doubt he'd get it, but you never know....

I hope a rumor or interview with Schrieber comes up soon, and talks about still having intrest for this role.
