The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two Face Thread

It probably won't happen, but I think Eckhart deserves an Oscar nomination. His performence is amazing, and it's his best role to date.

^ bale is going to kidnap a child, beat up cops, cripple criminals and have sex with women with his mask on?
If he tells someone, "Are you ******ed or something? I'm the goddamn Batman" I will :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:.

Or cry. :oldrazz:

After finally getting to read the long halloween I have to say that the Two-face from dark knight seems to be quite faithful to the one in TLH. He was really treated quite amazingly in this movie (especially compared to forever.)

TDK was the first time we got Two-Face in a Batman franchise.

"it is like a touch of GOD!"

Two-face had a good beginning monologue in my opinion about luck. Also at the end when he becomes serious and flips his coin before falling to his death.

Everything in the middle was like watching half Ceaser Romero and Half Frank Gorshin. Both different people both insanely wacky.

I was just about to say how I had liked those two parts with two-face in forever as he seemed most serious at those points. It would have been nice if he was treated well in that movie but TDK more than makes up for it.

Ya those parts were cool. Like when he said "you are absolutely right Bruce" or whatever it is in that serious tone, it was really cool. Maybe even when he tells RObin to kill him. There that is all the sympathy I am giving him for that role =)

yea i loved his opening speech to that annoying secrurity guard, i really wanted him to kill that sniveling little toad. " ohh noo its boiling acid!!" DDDIIIIIEEEE!!!!!

hahahahahaha no its not a movie its real life!!!! my mind is so broken up i can't tell the difference between celluloid and reality!!!! HEEELLPPP MEEE!!!!

So I guess now its officially official that HARVEY DENT is in fact, dead.

Too bad, I really thought that he'd have a bigger part in this franchise. I thought that perhaps Batman would try to fix his face and that Harvey would just always hold a grudge against him and Gordon. I dunno.

If they established that Harvey had an alternate personality then yes it could have run into another movie. However in TDK Two-face was running on pure emotion and once he calmed down he would have become rational again and stop what he was doing

I don't think he'd ever be rational again. In fact, I could see him going around Gotham taking away people's signifcant others to make them feel his pain. But, if he's dead he's dead. I wish I could say Nolan is throwing us off, but the guy doesn't lie about stuff like that.
Well think of it as of acting without thinking, that is what Harvey is all about, Harvey is a bright person and I would be willing to bet if TDK Harvey was not taken down he would have become normal again and submit himself to arrest

Harvey doesn't have that characteristic of poring his suffering on to someone else who didn't deserve it. All his kills were kind of "justified" and related to his scarring, after that he really doesn't have any more vendettas. I really can't see him picking out random people just to make him suffer, I know it can go with his justice is random just doesn't seem right at all.

but he doesn't know who batman is or who his loved ones are, and I am sure he would realize in Batmans logic if he actually sat there and thought about it.

Oh that, hmmm I could see it since he could blame Batman for saving him and not Rachel.

he might be knocked out. I mean it is possible that he is dead but if he is alive he might be knocked out and would only regain conscience later.

Fall from the height on your head, and tell me if you lived.

He was on gravel, and plus, Batman survived. He has a suit on, and as we know, the more weight involved in a fall, the worse that person should be hurt. In theory, if you want to be technical, Batman should be in a hospital.

Batman's suit is body armor, and we established he would live from a great fall earlier in the movie when he plummeted off Wayne Manor. Dent had no such protection, and a fall from that height would kill you easily if you landed in a position that will effect your neck.
