    Happy Thanksgiving, Guest!

The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two Face Thread

i don't know exactly but i heard
he turns in two-face in the last 30 minutes of the movie

Read another review where they say they've pulled a "venom" with Two-face in TDK.... wouldnt' surprise me if he is only in the movie for the final act and dies (presumably).

The final act is easily 30 minutes, though. And it's purely about 2Face.

I'm saying 2 hours of Joker and 30 minutes of Two-Face. Consider it this way, you get a two hour movie about Batman chasing Joker and a special 30 minute short film about Two-Face.

About this Two-Face dying thing... Wasn't there something that he appears to be dead for the film characters, but not the audience? I read about that in another thread.

Why do a Joel Schumacher and kill Two-Face again? That's stupid. He never die in the comics, as far as I know.

I can't wait for the release so that people understand that Two face is [BLACKOUT]DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD [/BLACKOUT] in TDK !!!!!!!

But I'm sure there'll be people who won't belive it even if it's on screeen !! Sad !:whatever::csad::o

I'm sure its gonna be like SM3 when Venom died where people are gonna analyze the scene where Twoface
DIES
and try and convince themselves he survived. :oldrazz:

are u f***in serious hes dead by the end of the movie???
i thought the third movie was supposed to center around him being the villain??
if all this is true, i swear this will really suck i mean i'll still go watch it but wtf its just like what happened with venom, they take my favorite villain save them for the very last few scenes and they just kill him off arrrrgh damn whatever then..... weaksauce!!

Well, it started as a rumour and now it's out of control, more or less. Some people say: "Yeah, he dies! Halleluja!", while others are a little more collected and waits for confirmation.

TWO FACE IS NOT A VILLAIN..................That's the whole point and that's why [BLACKOUT]killing him [/BLACKOUT]is no big deal, WE assumed that two face could be/would be the center of the third one but he's not, that's not Nolans' way !!! Two face/ Dent is the whole arc of the movie and was never meant to be part of the third one in Nolan's mind......it's just that we thought about this movie in classic/usual comic book movie terms but it's not what we should have done !!!:o:o

Two-Face isn't a villain guys! God! He's a regular boyscout! He makes Superman look downright evil by comparison. :whatever:

The 'Face isn't a villain' arguments are really tiring now, Two-Face has always been a villain. A tradgic villain? Maybe. A conflicted Villain? Definitely. Nevertheless he's always been a villain, an antagonist to Batman's protagonist. He's also one of the few bat-rogues left that could carry a film by himself.

This is why [blackout]the decision to kill him off, with no hope for return,[/blackout] angers me somewhat, it puts the rest of the franchise in danger of going the way of Batman Forever/& Robin.

I say end this series here.[blackout] It dies with Two-Face.[/blackout]

There are a good couple of villains left in Batman's rouge gallery.

we could say he's a villain because he kills people but in TDK he seems to be doing it for particular reasons and he's not the usual villain we've all seen in the comics...it's been said mulltiple times in the reviews: Nolan is reinventing the characters of the batworld in his own fresh way and that includes a two face who is more of a fallen angel than a pure villain in the traditional way.....!

The only one I can see really working with Nolan at the helm is The Riddler. I wouldn't bank on Catwoman, if I remember rightly Nolan himself said he found the character one-dimensional and wouldn't 'fit in' with his vision of the Batman world.

It's such a shame.. im sure it would we great to have a part 3 with two-face.. the other villains are too unrealistic or stupid

1. nolan and eckhart have said repeatedly that Two Face in the nolanverse is more vigilante than villain.

2. I'm not even going to respond to the blackout, as its fanboy whining and hyperbole...

people need a reality check....

I'd hardly call myself a fanboy, or a comic book purist, I've read about 5 Batman comics in my entire life, if that. I just think this decision puts the Batman film franchise in danger. I franchise I quite like and will continue to like.

The Dark Knight looks like an absolute masterpiece I've never doubted that for a moment, i just feel a sense of longing or regret at not getting a Two-Face centric 3rd film, if we even get a 3rd film at all I'll be surprised.

villain... vigilante.. it doesn't matter.. in batman begins R'as Al Ghul was also a vigilante.. am i right?

He was doing terrible things for what he believed was the greater good. Isn't Harv doing the same thing? Was Ras not a villain?

All we need is a great story.. with a good plot.. throw in some action scenes here and there.. and a few new bat vehicles (i'd love to see a batplane or a batcopter) and im sure nolan can cook something up...

It should feel like a complete trilogy.
