Harvey Dent/Two-Face Thread

Danny Huston?

Did ya mean Jack “Richard Harrow” Huston?

I’ve been thinking he could do Joker...

Ha you're right. Fixed.

Geez you gotta warn somebody before you post something as graphic as that. I mean dang, that's rough.
Nothing as graphic as most of the Two-Face pics posted around here. Well, never mind.

Most of the two face pics around here a photo shop, that one is real and you can tell looks way different compared to some manips lol.

Eh. Photoshop or real, that's not worse than TDK's CGI of Two-Face. Lol. Stop with the nonsense squeamish.
Yes but when you can tell its CGI or know its alot less graphic seeming. I'm personally not squeamish but you post some guy that looks as gnarly as that for real you cant blame someone for being taken aback.

It's on spoilers now.

Dude - real life scars... let's have a bit of respect. I get it, we're all looking at images of deformed faces, but cgi, photoshop, manips are fantasy... this bloke, we don't know his story, how would he feel being compared to two face, he's probably got enough to deal with. not cool.

The eyes are bothering me
i was disappointed with nolan's two face, for someone so into realism, it looked fake and anything that 'exposed' and raw would have so many health complications.

The picture I posted meant no disrespect at all, just merely a real life example. If Two-Face's facial deformity is not a topic worthy of discussion in a Two-Face thread, then I don't know what is.

Then comment with 'here's a real life example' and those that want to see can click. i'm not a moderator, i'm not here to bash or troll, i just think there are some that don't feel comfortable seeing that and you gotta appreciate that, even if you don't understand or agree.

And I spoiler tagged.

Interestingly Nolan was the one who decided to go hyper-cartoony with the design as to not distract people from how real the scars looked. It's probably on the TDK extras as I can't find the quote on print. But it was a welcome surprise considering the expectations of where he would take the character design.

That's exactly what it did do.

Here's a quote by Eckhart before TDK's release:

Aaron Eckhart: Not just another pretty face in 'The Dark Knight'

"I can tell you that, basically, when you look at Two-Face, you should get sick to your stomach. Being the guy under all that, well, that was a lot of fun for me. It's like you would feel if you met someone whose face had pretty much been ripped off or burned off with acid. I can't talk about it beyond that because I don't want to give away too much of the plans by Chris."

Yeah I'm not sure they should go the realistic route with Two Face. It's too... ugh. It's painful and makes you sick to look at. Especially if he's gonna be like that throughout the whole thing. Hyper realistic makeup of scars like that can feel quite cheap if it's not executed well. It's like if you had a villain that looked like one of the Chernobyl victims with makeup as realistic as the show.

Something just doesn't feel right. It feels like glamourizing on those types of injuries (which are kinda common in some places, the acid stuff, a lot of women and men get attacked like that) if you go too realistic.

I actually prefer the healed looked, where the skin looks bleached more than the realistic, fresh burns. TDK's Two-Face scar is over-the-top but it worked because the film was good.

Theres also the market ability of the characters on this movie. They'll look to sell toys to kids and collectors alike.

Yeah I really don't think it's a good idea to have a bunch of collectibles of a character with realistic acid burns.

In the comics, what bothered me most was not the burns but the color. A green half always looked grotesque.
