Maybe he takes it off after the symbiote first falls on it? There should be a good reason behind him not wearing it. We haven't seen nearly enough to jump to conclusions.

you would think that every one on these boards would be in great shape what with all the jumpping they do.

I noticed that, too. I'm sure it's going to wind up being an insignificant detail that will have a logical explanation when it comes to the movie.

It's possible though, that when the symbiote lands on him, he'll freak out and throw his sweater off in order to try to get that "goop" off of him. Either way it'll wind up being trivial.

yeah i agree that could happen

I'm pretty sure the only exercise Skywalker88 gets is stretching the truth and jumping to conclusions!

Lol just kidding man, I just had to use that line.

i think this scene will be bigger than we all think.
for example it is also very strange that eddie is able to see peter so high.

well, first he went jogging (that's clearly visible with the sweathy shirt),and mostly when u sweat,u take ur coat off :woot:

Maybe when the Symbiote lands on the sweater, he starts freaking out like Eric Forman would and throws it off.:)

Sometimes people take their clothes off when they are upset, unfortunatley my girlfriend has grown wise to that trick now :D

Eddie had his camera, I believe, so he could have zoomed the viewfinder to the belltower and saw Peter.

I think he takes it off because he's really upset after seeing Peter taking off the Symbiote.

That's something I've wondered myself. Does Eddie have super sight or something? LOL!

The path on the floor doesnt follow... Maybe he walked a bit (and took off his sweater)

Yep, I already posted this once:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0413300/board/flat/59860762?d=59860762
Spider-Man goes to the clocktower and the noise of the clock weakens the symbiot, so that Peter can finally get it off.
Depressed Eddie Brock has just arrived at the church and prays to God to kill Peter Parker for him. He hears someone screaming and looks up. He catches a glimpse of Peter Parker (perhaps with the zoomlens of his camera) and then notices that some black ooze is falling down. Some of it falls on his jacket and he takes it off. But then his hand catches some of the black ooze, and it slowly start to cover his hand. More of the ooze falls down and pulls Brock to the ground, to cover his whole body. The symbiot, angry on Peter's rejection, bonds now agressively with Brock and transforms him into Venom. Camera pans into his mouth into the darkness.

I know I once made a topic of it, but I can't seem to find it back.

ah man, I'm known for being petty but this is really a small point that has no bearing on the overall feel of the story...

ugh

:down

How can you attempt to pick apart a small detail such as this based on: a teaser trailer and a leaked trailer, and without seeing the actual film?

Here's a better question: does anyone actually want to SEE Spider-Man 3? You know, see the actual movie and watch how things play out? Or are we going to pretend to be little Robert Langdons and attempt to piece together every last friggin' nuance and dissect the entire film months before it's even completed?

I can understand talking endlessly about this character's role, or this character's role. But a jacket??????????????

This is a new low.

I gotta say, I agree with cmill216 ... is like trying to make a puzzle with only 3 pieces.

Loved the 'little Robert Langdon's' lol

Still, I understand but they usually use different takes in one scene, and the one without the jacket was from the leaked trailer if I'm not mistaken. But the most accurated response to this is: you have a LOT of missing scenes.

D!
