Have you ever seen a movie sequel without watching its predecessor(s) first?

Oh I saw Mummy returns before The Mummy

I saw the second Indiana Jones-movie before the first one

Beverly Hills Cop 3
hate to admit it but Charlie's Angels 2 and I will never watch the first.

I saw Aliens, Alien 3, and Alien Resurrection before Alien

Terminator 2 before Terminator

Star Trek 2 before Star Trek the motion picture

I saw the second Indiana Jones-movie before the first one

You actually watched it in chronological order, since the events in "Temple of Doom" happen before "Raiders of the Lost Ark", even though it came out after it.

I saw Aliens, Alien 3, and Alien Resurrection before Alien

Terminator 2 before Terminator

Same here. I also watched the second and third TMNT live action movies before the first.

The major ones I can think of are Aliens before Alien and Terminator 2 before Terminator. It was kind of lackluster seeing Alien and T1 after their sequels. Don't get me wrong, they're still great movies, but the sequels were just so kick ass and really went above and beyond what was done in the originals. It's like going from an Xbox back to an SNES.
Agreed. And I also saw T2 way before I saw the first one.

or was it Home Alone 3 before the first two? I can't remember.

I saw Live Free or Die Hard but I only saw Die Hard 1 and Army of Darkness but yet to see any of the Evil Dead movies. I would like to though.

Alien: Resurrection
Basket Case 2
Bride of Chucky
The Death of Incredible Hulk
Desperado
Dracula: Prince of Darkness
The Emperor's New Groove 2: Kronk's New Groove
Evild Dead II
The Fly II
The Gods Must Be Crazy II
Gremlins 2: The New Batch
Ju-on: The Grudge
Lawnmover Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace
Mad Max 2
Next Friday
Predator 2
Terminator 2: Judgment Day

+ I don't remember which movie I saw first from these series, but I know it wasn't the first: James Bond, Pekka Puupää, Uuno Turhapuro, Star Trek.

I'd watch The Road Warrior before I'd watch Mad Max. I didn't even know they were related.

I saw T2 before I saw Terminator and I have seen both The Ring and Grudge 2 without having seen the first ones..

I saw Child's Play 2 before the first. i watched all the elm street films except the 3rd than finally saw it afterward.

Am I the only ones who've seen the Terminator movies in order?

Does Star Wars Episode 1 Phantom Menace count? I still haven't gotten around to watching the original 3, bought the DVD set, but haven't watched it yet.

I don't think you should be posting here having never seen the original trilogy... In fact I don't think you should even been on the internet... or own a computer... or a tv.

I saw Dead Man's Chest before I saw the first POTC movie. I was bored and didn't get any of the inside jokes. I enjoyed the third film much more because I saw the first two before it.

That doesn't mean anything. Even if the studio went ahead and changed character names, it still would have been based on Silence of the Lambs, which is a book sequel to Red Dragon which was first made as Manhunter. Same actors playing different roles and slight changes of character name spellings does not change the actual story.

Silence is a sequel to Manhunter because the books are sequels. The Hannibal trilogy which includes Manhunter or Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal.

Yes Red Dragon is the official Hopkin's trilogy, but Manhunter certainly has it's place in the Hannibal movie world.

Geo, I'd like to personally thank you for not being a ****** :-)

Evil Dead 2
Rocky 2
Saw 2
Lethal Weapon 2
Clerks 2
Friday the 13th pt.2
Moonraker (first Bond movie, never saw the Sean Connery ones)

Almost forgot to add the order in which I watched the Nightmare On Elm Street series: 2,4,5,3,1,Freddy's Dead and New Nightmare.

Like most everyone, I saw T2 before Terminator and also Army of Darkness before ED 1 and 2.

Thing is, I didn't even know that there were movies that came before Army of Darkness. I thought it was a stand alone film. Imagine my excitement when I found out about the other two.
