Have You Ever Shop Lifted?

I was reading through a thread and someone mentioned how they use to do it before. I mean, the five finger discount never hurts, but if you get caught you're totally screwed. Just curious as to who has done it before. No need to hide it, just curious if you have or not, what do you think of it, whats the coolest thing you've got that way, most expensive thing you got, if you got caught, etc. Keep in mind though, try to be somewhat vague as well.

Me? I can honestly say I've never personally have done it. I'm way to paranoid to try it. There was a phase a few years ago when three of my friends and my sister and brother would get stuff from stores every single time we went. I was the only one not doing. I got made fun of a lot for not doing it. But oh well. Discuss!

I never shoplift, but I almost did it once by accident. It was several years ago, and I was buying blank VHS tapes from Best Buy. I got the tapes, but for some reason I was in a trace and deep in thought, and before I knew it I was outside the store, holding the pack of tapes in my hands. The alarm did not sound, and none of the BB guys stopped me to check on receipt (like they usually do). After going over my options of whether to take it and leave or go back and pay, I went back (I had to lie to the door guy that I was returning it). That was quite strange and I still remember it.

When i was little, I stole a batman action figure from a target. I actually think it was for batman forever, because he was all blue, and clear.

I also stole some baseball cards from the mall. I got caught on that because i gave them to my fifth grade teacher I had a crush on. Ruined my whole summer.

I actually still steal sometimes. It's mostly only when i need something, but not the whole thing. If that makes sense. For example: I needed a new zipper for my jeans. They didn't have the one i needed in a single pack, they had it in a 10 pack that cost 30 dollars. Now, these jeans cost me 30 dollars, so i stole the damn thing. (and by the damn thing, I mean just the zipper i needed, not the whole pack)

No lie, between my three friends (one of which, usually g6ets something at every store we go to), my brother and sister, they've stolen thousands of dollars worth of stuff. My two friends and my siblings decided to stop while ahead knowing they'd be caught eventually. My oldest brother has a great job and buys everything now, and buys me stuff all the time, so I guess it worked out.

Hmm, sometimes they'd get me stuff I never asked for but knew I wanted. Is accepting bad?

When I was 10, yeah, I did. Took a bottle of juice from a freezer, and felt bad afterwards. The next time I went to the store I paid for another bottle with twice the money and told the cashier to just keep it. And high tailed it out of there.

It's not really shoplifting per se, but while you're in some place like Wal-Mart or where ever, you can basically walk around and eat as much of their free-standing produce and drink as many Cokes as you'd like, as long as you're not noticed.

As far as personalized shoplifting goes, herm.
