I don't know, I thought Tywin seemed rather displeased with Joffrey's shenanigans. He didn't do anything about it, mind you, but still...

Then again, he's always at least mildly displeased by everything, so. :o

I don't think Tywin generally cared about Sansa's, Tyrion's or anybody else's feelings. As far as he was concerned Joffrey could do what he liked as long as it wasn't him or some serious ally being disrespected.

Tywin understands keeping up appearances. Joffrey acting a fool in front of a lot of the elite of Westeros is not good for the Lannister image. This is the guy that chewed out his son for seeing prostitutes. The man that knows his son and daughter shag, but only cares that no one else know or at the very least not mention it.

Exactly. Tywin hated it for a lot of reasons. He hates dwarves, it made a mockery of the war he fought, and it reflects poorly on the family. Joffrey, Cersei, and Pycelle were the only major characters laughing at it because of how much they hate Tyrion. Tommen giggled over it but stopped when Tyrion turned his head to him.

Not saying you made it up, saying I don't remember it. My memory is sadly not eidetic.:csad:
Don't worry, neither is mine. :D

I have just got good at looking this stuff up. Though after a while, some of it starts to stick. :funny:

Watching Cersei enjoy herself so much, only to have her hold world collapse around her was so great.

That brings me back to arguably my favorite moment of the episode. Cersei clearly being jealous of Brienne, and Brienne not being able to answer whether she has fallen for Jaime. Who would have known that Jaime and Brienne would arguably be the most adorable potential couple on the show.

Margaery's side eye and Olenna's "Tired of your s***" expression are golden.

The rule of King Joffrey is over. Now come the days of King Jaffe Joffer.

Rarely if ever has an hour of television made me wish instant death on a character so much, and then at the end I'm given my wish. Who says Game of Thrones never gives its viewers feelgood moments? My only regret is that it wasn't more painful, gory and undignified.

I dunno...there were moments where Tywin looked almost pleased. I mean, the dude barely smiles and all that, but he looked mildly entertained during the reenactment of the War of the Five Kings. I think there may have been a slight smile from him.

Or maybe he was just squinting. Tywin's a hard man to read.

He seemed fairly seething when Joffrey started picking on Tyrion, because it makes his family look foolish in front of the whole court. And while he does not love Tyrion, that is still his son being made the butt of a cruel joke in front of the whole court. If the wedding had gone according to plan, Joffrey would have been slapped by his grandfather in private, I imagine.

First, good lord is Natalie Dormer beautiful. Second, watching Margaery try her hardest to stop Joffrey was painful. She understood the pain and disgrace, but Joffrey just had to keep going back for more.

I loved Varys' slight smirk after Tyrion started playing along with Joffrey's bull****. If they weren't in the situation they were in, those two would be besties. :o

He is a hard man. I know in the books, Tyrion says he's never seen his father smile, or something along those lines. I think it was during the reenactment, though. I'll have to look again, but my first viewing I thought he seemed about as amused as Tywin can be. Which is to say, not very much. I'll re-watch the episode, though, and see.

I do know Cersei was smiling and laughing, though. Alot of people were, really. During the reenactment, atleast. It seemed more noteworthy who wasn't laughing, during that part.

Oh, yeah. Definitely. He looked pretty pissed through all of that.

love this moment, when Tyrion let one tear slip. Amazing actor:

Of course people were "laughing". Would you want to piss off Joffrey? That boy is crazy. :funny:

Wow, yeah. I guess I misread that. Tywin isn't stonefaced, but he definitely looks embarrassed there. My bad, guys.

The actor playing Joffrey is retiring from acting.

lol true.

And it was shame nobody laughed at Tyrion's rather well structured, and intelligent joke about Joffrey being sodomized.

A great joke, and nothing but crickets. Of course, the first man to laugh would probably get beheaded, so....

When I saw the gif, I almost thought he was enjoying himself as well, so I completely get it. I think the most telling thing is how he turns to look at Joffrey and the bride's side of the high table.

Tywin is like, "really?"
