I wouldn't be interested in seeing Brie as the lead. I could see her in a role like Michelle Monaghan or Daddario. She was on Mad Men after all so it's not exactly like she's a bad actress.

Larson would be interesting though.

Awesome, first season was a nice surprise...

Lillard with Larson would be awesome, as well. My favorite part of the Scream 'Trilogy' is when Lillard is making a joke/crying about his parents being mad while he's bleeding to death. Best depiction of a real teen who has murdered people in media.

On paper that seems good but it would be too cliche really, as they've done past work that would seem similar.

One of the things that made True Detective so fresh was that you never really saw Mconoghay or Harrelson in roles like this before.

If they really are going with Pitt I hope the other main role would be someone a little more off centre from the detective/crime genre.
