Goldblum would be pretty sweet
but how about making him the killer/suspect the detectives are after
Dropping by To The Best Of Our Knowledge podcast, he revealed the setting of the show and a new tidbit about the characters driving the next mystery. Right now, were working with three leads. It takes place in California. Not Los Angeles, but some of the lesser known venues of California and were going to try to capture a certain psychosphere ambience of the place, much like we did with season one," Pizzolatto said.
"The characters are all new, but I am deeply in love with all of them," he continued. "We have the entire season broken out, and I have a couple of scripts, and well probably start casting within the coming month."

Yea now they're saying there's going to be 3 leads for this season

Two detectives and the criminal they are chasing? I don't know how they might present this one differently.Yea now they're saying there's going to be 3 leads for this season
No. This show is far too good for the likes of Dane DeHaan.
DeHaan isn't bad.
He just needs a bit more experience before he gets attached to something like True Detective.

Maybe...
One detective in the past chasing the same criminal and a detective in the present day chasing the same criminal?

Just say no to Shia. That is almost as bad as casting Channing for Gambit. There are not a lot of well known 20 something actors with emotional range and acting credibility. Maybe they want Shia?
I wonder if they'll get an actor in his early 30s for the 20 something cop?![]()
I haven't read anything that stated it will take place over 40 years, especially since most of the names are not in their 40's yet or just into them.
